The device itself is pretty self explanatory, but a huge complaint of mine was the arm band! It sucks the way you “adjust” it is by adding some more fabric to it that clips on like the back of a bra, it’s not really stretchy or super forgiving, I will say it is really comfortable but it would always slide off my arm or move around. I ordered a different armband off Etsy and see if that helps with the fit

Hi Rina, thank you for sharing your honest review! We’re glad to hear the sensor itself has been easy and comfortable to use, but we completely hear your frustration regarding the armband sizing. Getting a snug, non-slip fit is essential for both accurate data and a good night's sleep.
We’ve logged your feedback about the strap adjustment design directly with our product team as we work on future hardware improvements. If you'd like assistance fine-tuning the fit of your Tempdrop strap or exploring official sizing options, please reach out to us at [email protected]—we'd love to help get it fitting comfortably!

Device stopped working after a few months of use. Customer support was very communicative and offered a discount to upgrade to the new version. Disappointed in the overall longevity.

We’re sorry to hear your expereince, device longevity is important to us. Every Tempdrop comes with a 12-month warranty, and we’d love to take another look to make sure everything was assessed correctly. If you’re open to it, please reach out to our support team again so we can review the case and see how we can help.

The main reason I bought this is because I have a toddler and a newborn, I wanted to temp since my sleep is (obviously) extremely erratic and breast feeding puts my hormones even more out of wack.
All this combined led to me being very inconsistent with remembering to temp with my Cyclotest thermometer every morning. Something I thought the tempdrop would fix, which in theory it did, but while I kept comparing temps with my regular thermometer I felt that the algorithm keep pulling my temperatures lower to the point where my curves weren't really distinguishable to me- or giving me completely different data than my oral BBT.
I also have to say, this is my experience with their NEWEST product, tempdrop 2.0- which people on Reddit raved about for the improved battery replacement method, better algorithm, and better syncing- exactly what their site also proclaimed. That was the main reason I decided to drop so much money for their new version- I really didn't want any room for error when trying Natural Family Planning 6 months after birth. And I have to say it's really not all that it's cracked up to be. Reading the other 3-1 star reviews showed me that it still suffers from the same problems as their first model: flimsy device, and an extremely cheap and uncomfortable arm band (for some who have used both versions MORE uncomfortable even) whose seams where the tempdrop is supposed to go in seem to unravel straight away... Which is a problem, because their site claims you have to remove it from the band everytime you want to sync your data, now how does that make any sense? The band itself also only has a 4 month warrenty, so how am I not supposed to feel like the cheapness of it is intentional and almost a scam?
That's wht I had to remove further stars just by how weasley this company is with their terms of service. I really can't believe, that for the price, you are expected to pay separately for 2 year insurance for damage and loss, and pay another fee on top if you want a "satisfaction protection" i.e paying more to have the basic right to return the product if it didn't fulfill the expectations *they* espouse. It's really insane!
I also was apparently denied being able to retroactively pay for insurance for the device despite asking if that was even possible, only for customer service to completely ignore my question and just keep refering me to an American facebook group (I'm not in america, and said so, but was linked it twice despite that fact!) to sell my Tempdrop if I wasn't happy with it. That's seriously outrageous!
And just for everyone's information and for the sake of transparency- which this company clearly is not known for- this is an Israeli company, considering the current political climate, that is something that one ought to know- and I feel the need to put this in the review since it's information that is suspiciously difficult to find for whatever reason. I only knew about it after I purchased, unfortunately...
TLDR: save yourself the money, buy an oral thermometer (the one I mentioned I feel is very accurate and really great overall) and just try to have more discipline. I also recommend cross tracking with Fertiliry Friend and adding your data there, their app is intended for people who are TTC, but it gives valuable insights on your cycles the more data you put in, I feel the automatically NON renewing 24€ per year(!!!) Is well worth it, and much more than the little amount of (kinda useless for TTC) features you'll get with the tempdrop app

A lot of money for a (basically) disposable product
I'll start by saying that the idea of the Tempdrop is amazing. Being able to use Fertility Awareness methods that depend on taking your body basal temperature without having to worry about waking up always at the same time is really great. Also, Tempdrop is a small company that is really in tune with their community and their customer service is great. My problem is the product itself: it is a very flimsy, delicate product for its price, so you have to be aware that having warranty (or their optional extended warranty / insurance), is basically a must - which makes the product even more expensive than the price tag you see on their website.
I was excited to get my Tempdrop, but I made the not-so-smart decision to buy it during pregnancy (hoping to use it right after the baby was born) - as a result the device was sitting in my drawer for many months until I got around to using it. When I finally had the chance to use it postpartum, the experience was great - until the battery ran out. Changing the battery is like walking on a minefield. The device is extremely delicate (or should I say flimsy), and you are supposed to pry the little thing open to replace the battery (a common CR2032 coin battery). My first battery replacement went wrong, but luckily I was still covered by my original 12-month warranty, though not for long. The company promptly sent a replacement sensor, but warned me that, obviously, my warranty would not be extended to cover the life of the replacement sensor: that's just not how warranties work. Looking back, I should have waited to buy it when I actually needed it, and I should have bought the longer warranty package. But I didn't know then what I know now...
I had some very happy 11 months of Tempdrop usage with my replacement sensor, until the battery of this sensor, too, ran out. I braced myself for the battery changing process and did my best to be careful and delicate to the little drop-shaped device. Alas, it did not work. I probably inadvertently pushed the sensor while prying the unit open, and after I closed it again, it would not turn on. I put a little piece of paper to hold the battery in place, and that worked for two days, but after that the temperatures stopped showing in my app. Customer support said it was a faulty sensor, but that since I'm now out of warranty, there's nothing they can do other than to offer me to buy their extended warranty retroactively and have a new sensor sent to me for $108. Surely better than nothing, but it is still quite a lot of money. I passed.
The bottom-line, for me, is this: Tempdrop is a great idea from a great company that needs some time to get more mature. Until then, having a Tempdrop is more like a very expensive subscription service: as long as you have warranty, you're all set. For me, the price no longer justifies the convenience, and I will be back to my trusty BBT thermometer and my early morning alarm.

Great customer support, Tempdrop just okay.
Great customer support! Prompt email response and very helpful team members!
The Tempdrop itself is okay. Already recorded temps change often which seems odd. Tempdrop staff say that's normal, still seems odd to me and not reliable if you exclusively use their app.
I'm always afraid the holder on the armband is going to break. It's very thin plastic and the Tempdrop does not fit snug in it.

Uncomfortable, but does it's job
First, let me start off by saying that I am considered plus-size so I do have to place my Tempdrop closer to my armpit as recommended in the instructions. Due to this, I've found that the armband is pretty uncomfortable. Unfortunately, if I do not have it on pretty tightly it will slide around. There's no in-between. After two weeks of measurements, the app alerted me to "inconsistent" readings. However, I've placed it in the same general spot since day one as instructed by the video. I've also been taking my oral temperature and adding it into a different app which I had been using for over two years already. Just for comparison. So far, the predictions have been pretty accurate. Usually about a 3-4 day difference. I'm sure that will narrow down once I've added more data. Overall, I feel like the Tempdrop is doing its job when it comes to measuring. Though, I wish they would work on the armband selection. Also, I'm currently using the premium features but it does not show me a fertility window the way it says it should. Which is fine with me since I'm already using a different app, but may be something to look into in case you are considering paying for the premium features.

On or off and synced
It was hard to get the hang of getting tempdrop synced. There isn't an on and off button so knowing if it was actually on was a learning experience. When I messaged customer service about it they explained it and now I don't have any issues getting it synced. Still wish there was a better way to tell if it's on or off.

Game changer, but poorly made
Let me start by saying I could not do FAM without tempdrop. It has been a complete game changer for me, as I was not getting reliable temps with oral bbt. Also, Tempdrop support and the company have been great!
My gripe is the design and quality of the product. The product is not made very well, I’m on the 3rd sensor in two years, thankfully all covered by warranty. They’ve just simply been a sensor flaw, turning off in the middle of the night so I don’t get a recorded temp, or draining the battery too quickly. Also, it’s very well known that when changing the battery you’re at a high risk of breaking something.
I’d give this a thousand 5 starts if the quality of the sensor and arm band was better, especially for the price!! However, with that being said, I will continue to be a faithful customer and recommend Tempdrop to anyone doing FAM as it really has been the easiest most reliable way to temp.
