Do not order from Taobao. It’s a scam. They do not take responsibility of sending you the wrong item and do not give you refunds. You will have to return at your own cost and they will not give full refund. Shipping fee cost way more then the items itself which is not worth it.

The after sale services to overseas customers is nil. I bought a pressure cooker that costs me CNY339. Shipping costs to Australia is more than CNY 500. The pressure cooker did not fit for purpose, steam leaks from the gap between the pot and lid. I asked to return the pot or have it replaced. The seller refused to pay for the international shipping costs. Taobao offered either to pay CNY50 , I get to keep the pot or return the goods to seller, they refund the price of the pot. In both offers, I either paid CNY800+ (approx A$170) for a normal pot or get nothing but have to bear CNY500+ (A$100) of shipping costs. Taobao has the welfare of sellers in mind even if that means detriments to the welfare of customers. This will be my last time to shop with Taobao. Temu has much superb customer services with free return of goods and full refund for similar situation

Taobao is not worth the cheaper price.. ya but things that is of extremely low value and u can afford to throw it away. Received a low quality damage study table.. 1. Told to send back the table.(Pay return shipment. Reject resolution .. 2 show evidence of damage and courier to compensate. As it came in 2 package I have to liase with vender for the price of the damaged package. I had to personally contact the vendor for the value of the product.. what a stupid resolution to refund damage 1 of 2 package that makes the complete product and I still have to pay for the other one that is now totally freaking useless as it was part of the whole product. In the end I stop the refund clown show and throw away the freaking table..take it as a paid lesson to never buy from taobao again. Wish I had thrown away the table right away had I know of the incredulous clown show refund process.

Very disappointed with Taobao’s handling of defective cross-border purchases. For overseas buyers, returning item is extremely difficult and expensive. In reality, most buyers will not realistically be able to return defective items because tracked international shipping costs can become unreasonably high. When issues occur, sellers often only offer a very small compensation (for example 2–5% of the item value) for defective products, while the platform mainly supports “return at buyer’s expense” solutions that are not practical for international buyers. I strongly recommend overseas buyers carefully consider after-sales support, return logistics, and warranty limitations before purchasing expensive items through Taobao. Once something goes wrong, buyer protection for cross-border orders can be very limited.

I purchased supposedly 5 leather jackets advertised as genuine leather for over AUD500. None were genuine leather and now I have to spend money to return them. It was a complete waste of time, 5 different vendors and all were scams. If I was Jack Ma, this would be an area where I would target, because this site certainly has potential, but I will never purchase from Taobao ever again. There is a real need for genuine quality products. There is a market for people who just want to purchase quality without the brand or bricks and mortar costs. Unfortunately Taobao has failed.

Ordered and item 4 weeks ago and have not got it ,contacted the company ,they were so unhelpful, I asked for a refund and had the run around, not impressed with this company

Extremely terrible refund and return process to make you give up trying The refund and return process is so terrible and complicated so that consumers rather give up then fight to get their money back, that's how they function. For the same product, each size is regarded 1 order and to return every size. we have to pay shipping for each of all these different orders individually, and pack separately and have x number of people come pick up individually. I wouldn't even give a star. Customer service is a human reciting same script on repeat, no help at all. The worst part is the seller is very dishonest, plagiarizing images from another authentic store and sell them at their store, but when the items are received, it's totally different material. What a whole bunch of scammers! I requested for refund only, but after days of customer service intervention, they still insisted to return the items first then, only refund will be in. What a bunch of hooligans, I'm just burning my money and definitely will not be using Taobao anymore. At least the other shopping platforms are very considerate in resolving issues involving customer service, but DEFINITELY NOT TAOBAO. Also, avoid these scam stores, HNEN, NUTO, YEVO, POEA, followqueen, they send you a dupe item with terrible material.
