Whilst numerous products were listed as available 5k+ in stock I kept getting canceled orders. Tried other products same deal. Have been trying to get my money back for a few weeks now(it's stored as credit on the website after a canceled order). Sadly they stopped replying to my e-mails.

Bought a set of DVD from a guy in Hong Kong. Item apparently was shipped from China but get stuck with the courier for some reason. They considered the transaction completed in the meantime. I query Taobao, and they said they won't look at it any longer. They asked me to contact seller. Seller asked me to contact the courier and "advised" me that next time before I buy, I should check that the item can be shipped to Australia (that's where I live). I called the courier and they said will ship back to buyer. Buyer said he will refund once he has the item back. Then nothing! I contacted buyer and he won't reply to me anymore. After going through a lot of trouble, no DVD, no refund! I am staying with eBay, much safer. (Taobao, if you are listening, the transaction no is 1634537856295871.)

Ik voel me opgelicht. Ben aan het overwegen aangifte te doen.

Comparing with the American online shopping websites, Taobao has a lot more features. But their website is simply too buggy. I had to spend a lot of time to figure out how to get around their bugs. It makes me wonder whether this company ever have any quality control engineers. They have strange practices - such as any customer can sign up an account with any email address, regardless whether this email address belongs to them or not. Although they never communicate with customer via email, I think this practice of using unverified email address to sign up is ridiculous. My bad reviews for different sellers had disappeared. Taobao claims they cannot control sellers manipulate the reviews. But why would a review disappear? Why does Taobao allow sellers to delete reviews? Taobao is helping these sellers to be dishonest.
