Annual payment of 79$ due 6/26/24 - I cancelled on exact same day but Taleflick refused to refund my money. They have charged me 79$ for four years and I have not received any benefits from it. A total waste of time and money. I'm retired and on a fixed income and need every penny I have. Don't waste your hard earned money on this bogus company.

Total SCAM. NO SUPPORT. Had two books with them, paid for UPGRADED reviews, had one book marked "Taleflick Pick". Now NONE of my books show on their stupid site and no one else's show up anymore either. Support NEVER responds but I keep getting BILLED. Cancelled my auto-renew. They'd better NOT charge me AGAIN.

A couple of authors I know had interest in their books after submission to TaleFlick so it seemed worthwhile doing. However, for nearly a year now I've been unable to edit my book listing because the edit link takes me off-site to a dodgy malware website that tries to infect my laptop. I have contacted TaleFlick several times to tell them that their site (made with Shopify) seemed to have been hacked, with no response. Eventually I sent a very shirty email that did get a reply, promising to look into the issue, but I never heard back and the issue remains unresolved. The site is pretty poor generally – when I log in, there are two items in the menu both called "My Submitted Stories" and neither area shows my book. There is no facility to search their database by keyword, which means I have to scroll through 34 pages of books in my genre to find my own listing. It's a very amateurish setup, and the trojan links make it unusable. Buyer beware!!!

This is an update to the review I posted back on June 27th. As I had posted before, I had my book on Taleflick since 2019 with no results. When I tried to get it removed I got nothing but silence. I was not looking for a refund since I knew that I was taking a chance with them. However, that did not mean I was going to leave my book on their site forever. In addition to posting a bad review here I also filed a complaint with the BBB. However, after 30 days of silence from Taleflick the BBB closed the complaint as "Unanswered". Taleflick currently has an "F" rating from the BBB. The BBB did ask me to notify them if I did manage to get the issue resolved on my own. After the failure of the BBB to resolve the issue I then investigated the company who was hosting the Taleflick website since the host company is responsible for website content of the domains they host. I found out that Taleflick is hosted by Google Domain Cloud Servers. I contacted Google to file a complaint and they directed me to forward my complaint to the person who registered the Taleflick domain name. I followed their instructions and sent an email to the registrant of the Taleflick Domain. I stated that if my book was not removed by August 7th I was going to file a DMCA complaint with the federal government charging copyright violation. Apparently that got Taleflick's attention because on August 4th my book was finally removed, but it took the threat of legal action to get it done. To those of you who still have your books on Taleflick and want them removed you will have to do the same thing. I cannot post the email here but if you go to Whois and look up the Taleflick Domain you can get the info you need to file your own complaints. Although my book has finally been removed, my account with Taleflick is still active. I have asked that it be closed and my personal info erased, but I am still waiting on that. Dealing with Taleflick is like pulling teeth. Very difficult to get anything done.

I have already review this, however, I wonder if I can sue if anyone knows let me know because I want either my money back or some type of resolution..

I have been in the business for over 40 years. This company is a scam and will charge you at 3am for recurring costs that are buried in their offering. I am working on a lawsuit against them.

I paid Taleflicks for the premium plan $499, which promised tailored treatment of my book as a potential video/movie project. I was shocked as a professional writer on Wall St for 30 years at what I got back from this company. There were typos, poor grammar & language, as if it were written by a student in some foreign country. It was clear the staff member had not actually read my book, and put emphasis on parts of the story that weren’t important, leaving out critical themes like anti-Semitism, racial attitudes. I actually after several emails rewrote the synopsis (key part of the book profile) myself. But Taleflicks doesn't even list a phone number for a client to call. You won't find a single phone number or email on their website, which should signal....DANGER. No one in senior management is listed or reachable…and a month goes by without a response from customer support. It's not a real company. Do any books actually get picked up by a film company, based on being listed on Taleflick? So now I'm canvassing other book authors...some have actually been listed on Taleflicks Website. None of the authors (6) I contacted could confirm any result from being on Taleflick (even though they were featured). One commented back to me, "I found Taleflicks to be all PR and no substance to their promises. They mentioned my book but never reviewed or even read it." I was very disappointed with their treatment/write up on my book: Moe Fields – the special bond between fathers and sons. My book cover five decades, from the golden age of Jewish fighters in the mid-1920s to 1930s, WWII…a story of faith, family and legacy. The book has been endorsed by Jewish World magazine (Calf) and the Jewish Link (NJ,NY, CT) and has reached Amazon best seller three times. So this is not about the quality or marketability of my book. I'd like a refund from Taleflicks. Uri Singer is running a scam at this company. The BBB should send out advisories to protect other authors...and the FTC should regulate these fake companies. Let me update and clarify points in TaleFlicks response to my complaint. I'd ask other clients of Taleflick to weigh in: ..................... If Uri Singer--and Taleflick executives put email addresses on your website, I would first have written to you before doing so in a public forum. The wall and moat around your company prevents clients from communicating directly. You don't even have a corporate address on the Website allowing clients to write. Are you a real company? Your response to me, like those of your staff, have been dismissive, arguing form over substance. Uri: "If the report didn't highlight a particular trait, it's probably because the analyst didn't think that was the main point of interest." Well, almost half the story is not represented in the write up. I raised the issues of anti-Semitism & race as examples of strong, contemporary social issues not included by your staff...but the whole underlying purpose of the book, i.e., what is a father? why are they important? how does a father's legacy inspire their sons? This core fabric of the story is ignored. I agree, there’s a lot to cover in a story across five decades but read the book so you’ll understand…and be in a position to fix your company. There’s a reason Don Harrison, the 40-year editor & publisher of Jewish World magazine (Calf) endorsed Moe Fields “This is a powerful book, a disguised memoir in the form of a novel, about a man who fought and loved fiercely, and the impact he had on the lives of his three sons. If other men who read this book are like me, they’ll find themselves reflecting on their own relationships with their fathers as well as with their sons. I trusted your firm would guide the format to make a pitch successful, but if the writing is flat, fails to give the reader true insight or create excitement about the characters then we can’t expect a positive outcome. Uri Singer can’t protest or argue…I’m a good guy, look at how I’m helping authors, we’re not making money. First, if you’re name is on the door, you are ultimately accountable. Second, with 20,000 clients at $500 a subscription that’s $10 million according to the math. More or less $$, no matter. Taleflick is a cash cow for authors who are pursing a dream. In addition, the first lesson in business is that the customer is always right, even if they are not. Instead of telling me Why or How I’m wrong, there needs to be some internal reflection. I mean the first telltale sign of a questionable business (scam) is restricting who and how the folks who are paying for a service can reach you. And then having customer support fail to respond to multiple emails suggests something other than a first-class outfit.

Mr. Goldstein, you will not get a refund. Our services were rendered, and we stand by our story analyst, who is not a student of any kind. Your pitch page is up and has been revised for grammar and typos. There's nothing wrong with it. As for the assessment itself, it looks like a straightforward opinion by a professional - things that might sound inaccurate to you may be a different perception from another reader. We're not saying that to undermine your argument in any way, but to keep in mind that the whole point of this report is to know how development executives within the entertainment industry may perceive the project. The point is to assess the book for adaptation, not reviewing the work as a novel. If the report didn't highlight a particular trait, it's probably because the analyst didn't think that was the main point of interest. That opens the door to reflection and the - sometimes harsh - possibility of people seeing the work differently. We can also share the analyst's reply from months ago when they explained their choices directly to you: "About the racial question: it's apparent in the text how important racism and antisemitism were in Murray's life, but I think we can agree that it was present in a way that permeated everything he did and happened with him. Moe's trajectory and the prejudices from his time (and now) are inseparable, but at the same time, his life was eventful. Murray knew fascinating people, made a lot of things, overcame the Great Depression, lived the WWII, met the US president. We had to find a way of depicting all of this in a pitch for a film (always thinking about a two-hour movie) or a TV show (with a lot more time available to tell the story but still needing a succinct pitch). Any writer who reads the book with the intention of adaptation will see how much the racial question is crucial to Murray's journey and how this affects his decisions. The focus on the Golden Age of boxing was thought with this in mind, as a way to depict how the Jewish community fought to survive and thrive in the USA using the opportunities given to them, also, of course, to have the ring as a way to depict his fight to the audience. All that being said, I'll be more than happy to revise and rewrite everything in Moe Fields that displeased you. Could you please list what you'd like to see reassessed?" As you can see, we care about working with authors a great deal. Unfortunately, instead of working with us, you chose to submit your own synopsis recently, four months after our last communication. We can't replace an analyst's work with your work, per our policy and latest answer. We have experience with producers and adaptation and ask our clients to trust our choices. As for personally attacking Mr. Singer or failing to understand that adapting books is not something that happens overnight, we can only say that this is not the way we conduct business. First and foremost, we treat our clients with respect - something that even you have recognized in our communication. Unfortunately, you couldn't show the same level of courtesy.
