They have ability to dive your credit…
They have ability to dive your credit and did so at the start of the pandemic by lowering my accounts' limits to account balance. I was only using 30% of available credit. They then reported - even though timely payments on zero interest account - that I had not paid off my accounts prior to special offer expiration. They then declared I had no mortgage reported as if this was a new event. (Same conditions as when initially applied.) This adverse action letter was sent in May and was retroactive to Feb. Couple this with a chain reaction of the illicit credit diving spread across 3 credit bureaus and all other accounts were reduced as well. Do not take the zero interest financing offers such as PayPal and Care Credit (medical financing), they are a Synchrony product. Amazon is one too. They partner with many merchant accounts and no matter how it is submitted, you will NOT receive the zero percent 24 mo financing. It will expire in 6 months and by the time you find out, you will have no recourse. It appears the merchant has no way of correcting any errors and does not control this bait switch financing.
