This company will not disclose they are a broker. They gave empty promises, false delivery dates, despite me mentioning the importance of the need by date, and quoted me a bogus amount. They never once disclosed my items would be transferred multiple times, and handle with negligence. I was quoted under $2600 but somehow ended up paying $5200 and left with over $2000 in damaged items. Mind you, I only paid because my belongings were being held hostage.

We strongly dispute this characterization of the move. Swift Shift Van Lines does not intentionally withhold information, and important terms related to the move process, pricing, and delivery are provided in the customer’s paperwork. Pricing can change when the inventory, space used, or services required differ from the original estimate.
We also do not hold customers’ belongings “hostage.” Payment terms and delivery procedures are part of the signed agreement, and any balances due are handled according to those terms.
As for damages, claims must be submitted through the proper claims process so they can be investigated and reviewed. While we understand that moves can be stressful, we do not agree with the statement that false promises or negligence were involved here.
If the customer would like to resolve this directly, we remain willing to review the file, documentation, and claims submission in detail through the appropriate channels.
If you want, I can make this even stronger and more direct so it sounds less apologetic and more like a clean rebuttal.
would strongly caution anyone considering Swift Shift Van Lines to proceed very carefully.
Before booking, I specifically raised concerns with the salesperson about reviews mentioning multi-week delays. I was reassured those situations were the customer’s fault and was told my belongings would arrive quickly. I was also told drivers travel up to eight hours or 500 miles per day, which led me to reasonably expect timely delivery. Based on these assurances, I chose this company. Had I been told upfront that delivery could realistically take weeks or that my belongings could sit in a warehouse, I would not have booked with them.
After pickup, I discovered my belongings were sitting in a warehouse in Chicago (I had AirTags in my items), despite my delivery destination being San Diego. When I contacted the actual carrier, I was told delivery could take 7–21 days. This was never clearly explained to me during the sales process.
There were also serious issues with inventory and pricing. The initial inventory was incomplete, and when this was identified, I was told it would cost over $2,000 more to correct. The inventory call was ended abruptly before we could resolve it, and I was forced to leave behind personal belongings at the last minute. Attempts to contact my salesperson for help went unanswered. Eventually, I discovered my number had been blocked — confirmed when friends and family were able to reach him immediately.
When my belongings finally arrived, another issue arose: I was told I needed to pay additional money for the movers to bring my items inside, despite this service already being included in my contract and paid for. After significant back-and-forth, they ultimately dropped the demand, but it added unnecessary stress at the end of an already exhausting process.
Throughout this experience, communication was poor, accountability was lacking, and responsibility was repeatedly deflected to the contract rather than addressing the misleading information provided upfront. Moving is stressful enough without feeling misled, ignored, and pressured for additional payments.

We strongly dispute the accuracy of these statements. Swift Shift Van Lines does not mislead customers about delivery, pricing, or services, and the terms of the move — including delivery timing, valuation, and service conditions — are provided in the customer’s documentation before the move takes place.
Transit and delivery scheduling are based on logistics, route planning, and operational availability, and estimated timeframes are not the same as guaranteed delivery dates. Additional charges may also apply when the inventory provided at booking is incomplete or when the actual shipment differs from the original estimate. That is standard in the industry and not a hidden practice.
We also deny any intentional misconduct regarding communication, including the claim that a customer’s number was blocked. If there was difficulty reaching a specific representative, that does not mean the company was refusing contact, and customers are able to communicate through multiple support channels.
The claim that services already included in the agreement were improperly charged again would need to be evaluated against the actual contract, dispatch notes, and delivery paperwork. Based on the broader allegations made here, we do not agree with the way these events are being presented.
If the customer would like the matter reviewed formally, we remain willing to examine the job file, contract, inventory, and communication records through the proper process.
If you want, I can make it even sharper and less apologetic so it reads more like a straight factual denial.

They will lie to get your business
They will lie to get your business. I got a call from swift shift on a day while I was at work. The girl who called me was pleasant and friendly and acted understanding and sympathetic to my situation. I explained to her everything about my up coming move, my inventory of items and exactly how I was envisioning the move to take place. I have never moved out of state before and this girl was so accommodating and disarming. She agreed with everything I said I needed making it sound like it wasn't a problem and I could trust them to do this right. She disparaged other companies I was getting quotes from saying Swift Shift would beat competitors prices and saying things like the trucks and movers they have work directly for them. And the offer they had for me was only good for that phone conversation, take it or leave it. I took it. I touched base with my "moving concierge" (the same girl I was contacted by) a week before the move saying I was nervous about how things would go and she was quick to assure me everything will go as planned. Day of the move I get a call from a company they contracted with telling me the movers would be there between 4-6 pm. - I specifically requested the morning, they basically told me I was sh*t out of luck. I had planned everything around this morning move. I had to pull all my favors to get a friend to come over and let the movers in. On top of that the mover didn't actually arrive until 9 pm. I owe my friend a kidney. Once the movers got there they went over the inventory with me, they put stickers on everything that won't come up and leave the sticker behind, I'm missing stuff (paintings, cork board, art supplies). I asked them, "ok so should I wait up for you guys to get here?" and the mover said, "oh no.. you won't get your stuff for at least 3 days." When I booked this move I said I needed my stuff same day hence the morning request. The movers came on Friday I received my stuff the following Monday. No apologies, and when I tried contacting swift shift to ask what the hell is going on, THEY GHOSTED ME. If I would have known ahead of time I wouldn't receive my things for 3 days I would have packed differently. I would have taken my medication specifically with me, I would have packed a bag of clothes and toiletries.. but when I booked the move the girl Lee Ann told me everything I wanted and needed to hear just to get my business. They will lie, lie, lie.. beware of this moving company.
In response: I spoke with Olivia Reese and Lee Ann whitmore. I booked verbally with Lee Ann, I told her my fears about hiring movers to move out of state because I have never done it before and didn’t know what to expect. She was very reassuring and when I told her what I NEEDED in terms of my schedule for the moving day she Heavily encouraged me that what I needed was more than doable. She NEVER stated that I would get my belongings days later. She should have told me “our business doesn’t operate like that, this is exactly how your move will go down if you book with us” and I would have politely declined and continued my search for a moving company that WOULD be able to do what I needed. But after every doubt I had she came in hot with the reassurance that my move will go exactly as I planned it. Needless to say the day and subsequent days were a disaster.
After that I spoke with Olivia because I’m sure Lee Ann bumped me up to her boss to handle the disgruntled customer. Olivia was completely unsympathetic with a one sentence email basically saying, “sorry, not sorry.”
After unpacking for a week and a half I started noticing missing items.. as if whole boxes just weren’t picked up. I email Olivia asking if there is someone I could speak to about this and she said she would reach out to the trucking company I had to reach out 10 days after her email (she never reached out to me) and she simply replied with “we have reached out to them again”, no apology, no greeting, no signature, just really cold like she is annoyed to be hearing from me. I follow up again 8 days after that asking if I’ll see my missing items and Olivia never bothered replying. Unapologetic, unsympathetic, unprofessional.. I still have missing items that no one has ever tried to reach out to me to settle.
This was MY experience- Lee Ann *maybe* was careful with her words to avoid being held liable, but that company must train them to be very “persuasive” and allude to you getting exactly what you want instead of just being straight forward and saying “this is the business, do you want to book or not”. And then Olivia was just cold and heartless when it came to my experience.

We strongly dispute the way this situation is being described. Swift Shift Van Lines does not instruct representatives to mislead customers, and we do not agree with the claim that anyone “lied” to secure a booking. Move scheduling, delivery timing, and service terms are based on dispatch availability, routing, and the customer’s actual service order — not verbal assumptions alone.
Pickup windows and delivery timing are subject to logistics and are not always guaranteed to occur exactly as a customer may prefer. While we understand the frustration of a later-than-expected pickup or a delivery timeline that did not match your expectations, that does not mean false information was intentionally provided.
We also do not agree with the claim that the company “ghosted” the customer. If there was a communication breakdown, that is something we would review internally, but it is not accurate to suggest the company’s process is to disappear after booking. As for missing items, those matters must be handled through the formal claims process so they can be investigated properly.
We take customer concerns seriously, but we do not accept the blanket accusation that this company “lies, lies, lies.” If the customer wants the matter reviewed, we are willing to examine the job file, dispatch records, and communication history through the appropriate channels.

Deceptive Practices, Non-Responsive After Issues – Swift Shift Van Lines
I had a very serious and frustrating experience with Swift Shift Van Lines and the moving company they brokered.
After major issues during delivery—including erratic and unsafe behavior by movers they literally hired from Craigslist, unreliable delivery timelines which caused us to have to sleep on the floor of an empty house for a week, damage to property and belongings, and pressure to sign paperwork without proper verification and they left without me signing the paperwork which leads me to believe they may have forged my signature (swift shift has still not confirmed they have retrieve this paperwork which is either not signed or bares a false signature)—I attempted multiple times to resolve these matters directly with Swift Shift.
They have since stopped responding entirely.
I have spoken with attorneys who advised that while the situation appears clearly criminal, the cost of pursuing legal action would likely exceed any recovery. Because of that, the most realistic option left to me is to warn others publicly.
This review is written so future customers can make an informed decision and understand the risks involved when using this broker.
Response from Everest Moving SolutionsApr 16, 2026
We strongly dispute these allegations and do not agree with the way this situation is being portrayed. Swift Shift Van Lines does not tolerate unsafe conduct, forged documents, or any improper handling of customer paperwork, and we reject any suggestion of criminal behavior.
Claims regarding third-party labor, delivery issues, damages, and documentation must be reviewed against the actual job file, carrier records, dispatch notes, and signed paperwork. Serious accusations like these cannot be treated as established fact simply because they are stated in a review. At this time, we do not accept the accuracy of those claims as presented.
We also deny that the company intentionally stopped responding. If communication was incomplete or delayed, that is not the same as refusing to address a matter, and these issues must go through the proper review process with supporting documentation.
We take customer concerns seriously, but we will not validate false or defamatory allegations in a public forum. If the reviewer wants a formal review, the matter should be addressed through the appropriate channels with the relevant records and evidence.

Swift Shift Van Lines is one of the…
Swift Shift Van Lines is one of the most unethical companies I have ever dealt with.
This nightmare began with Brandon, the salesperson who sold me the move. He presented Swift Shift as professional, transparent, and reliable. That was false. The quote he provided bore no resemblance to the reality of what followed. Once he secured my $4,178 payment, accountability disappeared entirely.
Maria, who worked on the operations side, was fully aware of the delays, confusion, and lack of delivery and chose to do nothing meaningful to resolve it. Communication was evasive, dismissive, and condescending. At no point did she take responsibility or provide real answers — only deflection.
My belongings were delayed more than 21 days past the promised delivery window. When they were finally delivered, I was forced to pay an additional $645 in cash under threat that my belongings would not be released otherwise. This was not optional. This was not a misunderstanding. It was pay or lose your belongings.
The movers refused to provide a receipt for this cash payment.
Swift Shift then attempted to distance themselves by blaming a subcontractor. That excuse does not hold. Swift Shift took the money. Brandon sold the move. Maria managed the process. Subcontracting does not remove responsibility — it exposes how reckless and unethical this operation is.
Brandon and Maria deserve none of the dignity or professional credibility that comes with honest work. They should not be allowed to quietly move on or preserve their reputations. They owe direct, public apologies and a full acknowledgment of what they did to the people and families they deceived.
What makes this unforgivable is that this is not an isolated incident — it is a system. Brandon and Maria knowingly participate in a process that harms hundreds of people every month, fully aware that families are misled, financially trapped, and left without their belongings — and they continue anyway.
If they had to read this review out loud to the people who raised them, love them, or trust them, it would be humiliating — and it should be. Their actions reflect not confusion or bad luck, but a complete lack of judgment, ethics, and basic capacity for accountable, honest work. This outcome is not surprising; it is exactly what happens when people who are incapable of meeting the standards of honest labor choose deception instead.
There is nothing dignified about what they did. Nothing respectable about avoiding accountability. And nothing about the harm they caused should be forgotten.
I have filed formal complaints with:
• FMCSA
• Better Business Bureau
• Florida Attorney General
• My credit card company (dispute ongoing)
If you are considering Swift Shift Van Lines, do not make the mistake I did. Once they have your money, you have no leverage — and apparently, no rights.
Avoid this company at all costs
Response from Everest Moving SolutionsApr 16, 2026
We strongly dispute these allegations and reject the false narrative being presented here. The claims made about our staff, our business practices, and the delivery process are inaccurate and highly misleading.
Swift Shift Van Lines does not extort customers, does not instruct anyone to withhold property improperly, and does not condone unprofessional conduct by staff or carriers. Charges related to a move are governed by the customer’s agreement, inventory, and service conditions — not by threats or arbitrary demands. Any claim that money was demanded unlawfully in exchange for release of belongings is simply not true as presented.
We also reject the personal attacks made against individual team members. Public insults and character accusations do not change the facts of the move file, dispatch records, billing records, and delivery documentation. If a customer has concerns about timing, charges, or third-party handling, those issues must be reviewed against the actual records, not exaggerated in a public forum.
As for the claim that Swift Shift “disappears” after payment, that is also false. We remain available through the proper customer service and claims channels, and we review complaints when they are submitted appropriately.
We do not agree with the description of this move, and we do not accept the defamatory statements made about our company or staff. If the customer wants the matter reviewed formally, it should be done through the appropriate process using the actual documentation tied to the move.
If you want, I can make this even tougher and cleaner so it sounds less like a customer-service reply and more like a flat factual rejection.

Contracted for a small move for my…
Contracted for a small move for my elderly parents and finalized the list a week prior, but when the movers came they had a different list and wanted more money, then was told the delivery would be on a certain date and two weeks later still no household goods and they are without a mattress and walkers and there is not estimated date of arrival. Terrible experience so far.
Response from Everest Moving SolutionsApr 16, 2026
We’re sorry for the frustration, but additional charges do not happen “for no reason.” Pricing is based on the inventory actually shipped, and if more items are added beyond the finalized list, the cost will increase accordingly. Extra space, extra handling, and extra weight are not free.
Delivery timing is also subject to routing, scheduling, and logistics, and estimated dates are not guarantees. We understand it is especially difficult when essential household items are involved, but that does not change the fact that revised inventory and transit timing can affect the move.
If the customer would like the matter reviewed, we are willing to look at the original inventory, the updated shipment list, and the dispatch records directly.

Predatory business practices -- avoid this company
After experiencing Swift Shift's services firsthand, I feel compelled to warn others about this company's problematic business practices. What started as an affordable moving solution quickly became a nightmare of hidden fees, poor communication, and accountability issues.
Swift Shift initially provided an extremely competitive estimate that was significantly lower than other companies I contacted. This should have been my first red flag. After paying the required non-refundable deposit to "secure" my moving date, the real problems began.
On moving day, the actual movers (who, I later learned, were from a completely different third-party company) arrived and immediately informed me that the price would be nearly double the original estimate. They cited additional charges for stairs, distance from the truck, packing materials, and various other fees that were never mentioned in the initial quote. With my belongings already loaded and limited options available, I felt forced to pay the inflated price -- how can you back out on moving day? Tenants were moving in two days after my moving day. Swift Shift knows this is typically the case and exploit.
Once the move was underway, getting any information about my shipment became nearly impossible. Phone calls went unreturned and when I did get through, I was hung up on. Promised delivery dates came and went without explanation, and when I did manage to reach someone, they seemed to have no knowledge of my specific situation. The lack of tracking information and constant delays added tremendous stress to an already difficult process.
What Swift Shift fails to make clear upfront is that they operate primarily as a broker, not an actual moving company. This means they're essentially a middleman who contracts your move out to other companies. When problems arise - and they will - Swift Shift points fingers at the third-party movers, while those movers claim they're just following Swift Shift's instructions. This creates a frustrating cycle where no one takes responsibility for the issues.
Swift Shift was unresponsive to my calls and emails about insurance information. Getting documentation and information about where my items were and when they’d arrive was like pulling teeth.
Moving is stressful enough without dealing with misleading, predatory business practices and poor customer service. While Swift Shift's initial estimates might seem attractive, the hidden costs, lack of communication, and accountability issues make them a company I cannot recommend. There are honest, reliable moving companies out there - Swift Shift is not one of them.
Response from Everest Moving SolutionsApr 16, 2026
We strongly dispute this version of events and do not agree with the claims being made here. Swift Shift Van Lines does not engage in “predatory” or misleading business practices, and we reject the accusation that the company intentionally hides fees or avoids responsibility.
Estimates are based on the inventory, access, and service details provided at the time of booking. If the actual move involves additional items, stairs, long carries, packing materials, or other services beyond the original scope, pricing can increase accordingly. That is not a hidden fee — that is a revised move based on the actual job being performed.
We also do not agree with the suggestion that customers are left with no information or that the company simply disappears. Delivery timing depends on dispatch, routing, and carrier logistics, and while delays can occur in interstate moving, that does not mean anyone was misled. Communication records and job documentation matter, and public accusations do not override the actual file.
As for the characterization of the company’s role, the customer’s paperwork governs the move relationship, services, and applicable terms. We reject the attempt to portray standard industry coordination as deception.
We take complaints seriously, but we do not accept false, exaggerated, or defamatory statements as fact. If the customer wants the matter reviewed, it should be done through the proper process using the actual estimate, inventory, billing, and dispatch records.
If you want, I can make this even sharper and more blunt so it sounds less polished and more like a direct factual slap-back.

Bait and switch
Bait and switch. Had to go to my bank to get my money back. they charged $999 deposit instead of the $1000 they said they took to avoid grand larceny my college says.
Response from Everest Moving SolutionsApr 16, 2026
We strongly dispute this accusation. The deposit and payment terms are disclosed as part of the booking process, and charges are not structured around the kind of false narrative being suggested here. Any claim that a payment amount was set to “avoid grand larceny” is completely untrue and irresponsible.
If the scope of the move changed because additional items were added or the inventory differed from the original quote, pricing would be adjusted accordingly. That is not a “bait and switch” — that is a revised estimate based on the actual move.
If the customer pursued a banking dispute, that is their right, but we do not agree with the characterization of the transaction or the allegations being made here.
