Ordered livefood, didn’t come, I had no food for two of my mantises and unfortunately they passed away, they didn’t even tell us it was coming or not, emailed them loads to find out it wasn’t coming, asked for a refund and a week later the money was returned and they gave me a discount code that’s invalid, every time I told them they just sent the same invalid discount code every time, it’s impossible to actually talk to someone they just send the same automated email every time and a month later I ordered a lamp clamp and it came on time but had a bend and wouldn’t stick, the heat bulb that I purchased fell onto the mesh and was dangerous for my gecko and it barely produces any heat no matter what temperature the thermostat is set to. The only “good” experiences I’ve had were the blue river diet gecko food that came two weeks late but at least it came. Would never order from them again

If I could put 0 stars,I would. Placed an order on the 14th of August. Never received any dispatch information despite calls and emails with promises it would be dispatched the next day each time I called. Don’t waste your time and money. Got to the 27th and I’d had enough and been more than patient and cancelled my order which ofcourse was done the next day. Funny that. If anything says it’s in stock I wouldn’t believe it. They take your money and hope that you’ll just wait weeks for it to be back in stock and then you still might not get it because they’ve got 20 other people waiting for the same item. Communication is fairly fast however they just lie because they’ve got no clue what’s going on. Honestly shouldn’t be running if they can’t keep up with orders and demand. Ridiculous company. Never experienced anything like it!

Bought a dimming thermostat from Ebay which subsequently broke costing me money because it broke all my reptiles lights etc when it blew. Contacted swell and they arranged a courier to collect. I was told they would get back to me in 7 working days. Now on day 20 and no response from them. So currently without a thermostat or the refund. So I've literally paid for nothing. Absolutely disgraceful company. Im a single parent but now need to find more money to buy a new thermostat because not too bad in summer but now its getting cold. Ive messaged Swell many times. It cost me for basking lights etc too because the thermostat blew everything. If they were decent they would be compensating for those too. Avoid because when things go wrong you get ignored and still stolen my payment because as mentioned above they have the thermostat apparently being checked which i paid for and no refund.

I’ve just had to cancel my order after an absolutely appalling experience with Swell Reptile. I placed an order over 10 days ago, paying almost £300, specifically because the website advertised next-day delivery. Despite this, the order was never delivered and, even after multiple emails and assurances from customer service that it would be delivered this week, I’ve still received nothing. To make matters worse, I was never even provided with confirmation that the order had been dispatched, and it appears the order still hadn’t been processed by the warehouse/courier by close of business today. I took a day off work specifically to receive the order based on the advertised next-day delivery service, and I’ve now had to cancel the entire order because the items were needed urgently for my child’s birthday and to prepare for a snake arriving next week. I’ve given Swell Reptile every opportunity to resolve this, but the service has been nothing short of unacceptable. When you’re spending almost £300 and are promised next-day delivery, waiting nearly two weeks without even receiving confirmation of dispatch is simply ridiculous. I will not be purchasing from Swell Reptile again, and based on my experience, I would strongly advise others to think twice before ordering from them. Absolutely disgraceful service.

I had many questions to talk through about purchasing a Beardy and all the products needed to look after him/her. Luke, who is friendly and well informed, answered all questions and found the relevant products I had yet to source. Great customer service.

The cage they do is a absolute scam doesn’t even fit a regular heat bulb or come with screws they pathetic scammers and they pissed me off with delivery I hate them won’t ever buy again wasn’t satisfied with anything

Warning do not buy from these. £250+ spent on new vivarium. No order received after weeks of waiting still nothing. No one answers the phone and no one responds to emails.

Placed an order for two T5 tubes and paid for next day delivery.Nothing turned up next day and no contact from them. Not answering phone. Very poor customer service. Will be avoiding in the future after using them for many years.
