Hi, LC - I'm so sorry for your experience. It's certainly frustrating to go through this hassle and still not have any lunch! You can use the balance check and customer service information on the back of the card to confirm when the charge will be refunded to the card (typically 2-3 business days, but processing times vary since I don't know if you have a gift card or Visa/Mastercard prepaid card). If a 3rd party service was used to place the order (ie. Grubhub), it may help to reach out to them to see why the order was disputed / cancelled.

Mr. Aligo, We were unable to locate the specific details on your card with the information provided. However, typically a cardholder has at least 6 – 12 months to use a card before it expires. The expiration date is noted on the front of the card and when the card is activated you are reminded to use the card prior to the expiration date. We will provide for the reissue of a card dependent on the type of card program it was issued under, however there is a reissue fee of $10 to cover our cost of reproducing the card, mailing it to you and to cover our maintenance expenses. Unfortunately your card was only $10 and therefore there are insufficient funds available for us to reissue the card. As you stated times are hard on everyone during the pandemic, including the businesses who need to be able to cover expenses to keep our associates employed. I do hope you can understand our position.

We are very sorry for your poor experience. Typically, a problem with merchandise would be handled between the cardholder and the merchant. If you have already tried that route unsuccessfully, we are happy to assist you in disputing the purchase through Visa. Please reach out to us directly at [email protected] . If possible, please also provide us with the date and approximate time of your call so that we can follow up with the specific associate involved in the call and correct their behavior. We do not want any customer to ever feel they were treated disrespectfully. We look forward to resolving this for you.

Hi, Vincent - Thank you taking the time to share your experience, and I'm sorry you weren't able to use the promotional rebate cards. As you indicated, this type of card includes an expiration date clearly printed on the front of the card, and further explained in the Terms & Conditions which are included with each card. The expiration date makes the promotional rebate card unique, compared to gift cards which do not expire. Promotional rebate cards are also more widely redeemable, accepted anywhere their network (Visa, Mastercard, or Discover) debit cards are accepted. It is unfortunate that you weren't able to redeem your cards and they were allowed to expire. Some promotional rebate cards allow expired cards to be reissued for a fee. Jessica - I'm sorry for your experience, and understand your frustration. Unfortunately, we cannot control what happens with USPS's shipping once the item leaves our possession. As you mentioned, we did everything in our power (shipping on time, via the requested method, refunded your purchase promptly) to ensure your satisfaction. Lonn - We are truly sorry for the disappointing experience. SVM did encounter a shipping issue with USPS on December 12, where a container of shipments was handed off to USPS and then misplaced for a week. While this is unacceptable, it is also out of our control. But having this incident occur weeks before Christmas certainly made a bad situation worse. Please be assured that we work diligently to ship cards the next business day, and then rely on our delivery partners (in this case, USPS) to safely and quickly transport the cards to our customers. We hope you can give us another chance to show you a proper shopping experience. SVM and USPS have already put safeguards in place to ensure this does not happen again.
