BEING HARASSED. Should have exchange program
I don’t trust many of these reviews. I have a concern that many of the reviews were done by people who were given the sauna for free. We had a tricky time during the purchasing process. We initially had to cancel the order and then re-order. The 2nd rep was friendly & knowledgeable. His name is Cameron. Demand a top-of-the-line delivery company. Sunlighten hires delivery companies. The first company was a nightmare. We have the basswood mpulse 2-person model. Basswood does have a strong woody scent (I was advised it didn’t). It is a pale blonde wood. Honestly, the two person model should be labeled a 1-person model. And the one person model should be called “The Closet.” But then again, some people would envision a walk-in. Maybe “The Coffin” would be better. Either way, when considering the interior of your sauna, will you be use it for pain, especially back pain? There are back rests for purchase, but they are ill-suited if you suffer from stenosis. I recommend purchasing the three person model. If you’re 5’2” or taller, you need a bench that’s longer than 48 inches. I am 5’4” and slim but I can’t lay down on the 2-person bench since it’s too short (and you won’t want a second person in the sauna because you will sweat all over each other sitting so closely). I contacted my sales rep to see about upgrading to the larger model. I was disappointed that I hadn’t realized there was only a 30 day exchange period. Granted, I didn’t know I would want to upgrade, so the exchange was irrelevant when I was buying. I believe it had the unit for two months when I contacted them, but they were unwilling to work with me. It was such a shame. I was willing to pay the difference and even a small penalty if needed. I truly would be happier with the larger size. I still wish they’d help me with upgrading & think they’d do well to have a rental program like WaterRower, where most customers end up purchasing the used unit. You cannot expect to be able to control the sauna at a distance. There is not an app that works to schedule or turn the sauna on. Not yet. Even when I was sold the sauna a year ago, I was told it was coming soon. There was briefly the web link that worked to turn the sauna on if you were within Bluetooth range of the sauna. I hope they will put money into the tech to get this done for all of us. It’s going to be a great upgrade if they can get this fixed. While there are multiple icons on the main page of the tablet, including Hulu and Netflix, be sure you only use the Netflix! I attempted to use Hulu and ended up on the phone with customer care. They advise that the Hulu icon is only a “placeholder.“ They aren’t yet able to add Hulu to the tablet, which makes little sense to me. Netflix does work, but you cannot update to the latest version. When you do so, there are issues with the screen and sound. I have called customer service about this and they said it’s a known issue and I had to downgrade to the earlier version of Netflix. I’m hoping they’ll fix this eventually as well. I purchased the speakers that are supposed to add an acoustic resonance. A sound therapy of sorts. It really doesn’t do much. I would advise saving the money and not purchasing that. They send with it a USB that has 12 songs on it & they get old. Not to mention, when using the USB in the sauna, you must leave the access panel to the stereo open. This causes the stereo to overheat quickly. I keep hoping to find some other music options that I can play via Bluetooth that will work with the acoustic resonance, but as of yet I have not been successful. The chromotherapy lights are pretty. You have colorful LEDs in the ceiling of the sauna. It’s a pretty addition but I can’t say that they are actually therapeutic. I also enjoy the sauna with the LED lights off. With the two person model, there’s one narrow infrared panel facing you. It’s at low hip-level height when sitting. Some heat comes up from a floor heater that I’m uncertain is infrared. There is no panel behind your legs. The remaining panels are at behind & on each side, starting at bench height and extending upwards to the top of my neck. I purchased the pure sweat amplifying cream. I have not noticed a difference when I use it versus when I do not. I wouldn’t recommend wasting money on that. The main ingredients are petrolatum, carnuba wax, & coconut oil. I believe you’d have the same affect from mixing Vaseline and coconut oil. You don’t need the bench cushion. Update: Sunlighten 1) tried to have this review removed and 2) has harassed me DAILY since leaving this review with emails and vm’s. LEAVE ME ALONE. IT IS UNACCEPTABLE. Response to Sunlighten’s comment: Wow! Blatant lie. I submitted no such form. I didn’t visit your site or fill out a form. You requested my details from TP then you decided to repeatedly call without my consent. No one should be harassed for leaving a review.
