Always late. They will always say mechanical issue for delay but have heard from multiple people they do not have enough planes to service their routes. I am not sure what is worse; flying an airline that always has mechanical issues or them knowing they don’t have the plane coverage and they will make you hours late and still letting you book. Even when it’s the weather; when things get moving again the airport will always get the big boys going first so regardless you are going to be late. And now that they try to charge you for putting a bag in the overhead compartment how much will you really save? Is the 75-100$ round trip savings ( 37$ to 50$ per trip leg ) really worth the brain damage? I am done with them. Never again if they are the only flight option, I am booking a seat on Amtrak. I have been to 80 countries and the most remote, podunk third world airlines are more reliable than Sun Country.

PLEASE READ THE REVIEWS! this is the most unprofessional airline I’ve ever chose to do business with, I will always regret choosing them, I booked a round trip flight with them, my out going flight was delayed by over 7 hours just a few hours before I was leaving to the airport, after persistently asking they finally admitted it was a staffing issue was the reason for the delay, flight ultimately never even left, it cost me over $1,500 to scramble to find another flight that would possibly get me there in time, unfortunately it didn’t and our trip was ruined! they offered meal vouchers, since we kept the return flight figured it might be nice. the meal vouchers were expired when we got on the plane lol horrible just horrible customer service and they couldn’t care less what inconvenience or money their unprofessionalism caused or cost you, don’t take my word for it, see what everyone else has to say, DONT FLY WITH SUN COUNTRY!

Sun country is the worst airline I’ve ever used. My flight, which is supposed to depart tomorrow, got moved up to today and the only notification I received was an email a month and a half prior that got lost in my spam. They never asked nor received any confirmation from me that I approved the change. According to the U.S. Department of Transportation, any time change of greater than 3 hours in either direction requires approval of the person flying, otherwise, the airline must rebook the person on another flight free of charge or refund the flight. When I spoke to customer service, and explicitly said I was traveling and I’m trying to return home, they UNJOKINGLY said I could be on STANDY for a flight TWO MONTHS from now. The customer service rep repeated this option several more times throughout our conversation as if I was going to LIVE in a random city for 2 months. I honestly felt like I was being pranked. I also was told that I “missed” my flight because it was moved up 23 hours and I didn’t realize, so therefore, I am also not receiving any refund. My next best option was a flight for $500 which Sun country is also paying nothing towards. Worst airline, worst customer service, will never ever book again, would not recommend to anyone.

Sun Country used to be the best airline but this experience has completely changed my mind. I booked a flight months ago and they changed the flight with no warning or compensation. How is it that I am not allowed to change a flight for illness or injury without an exorbitant fee, but they can make any changes they want with no concern over the cost or inconvenience they cause? Customer service is awful, no help at all. Booking.com was equally unhelpful.

Canceled my flight couple hours, now I have to book another flight that will cost me extra $1,600 since I can't miss work, and all what they offer is food and hotel vouchers, really? This airline needs to be accountable for the loss, they should find different flights for people rather than telling them the next flight is in 4days, this is unacceptable

Sun Country is an absolutely awful airline. They claim ultra low fares, which is false unless you fly with no luggage, don't care where you sit, when you board, or request any changes to your itinerary. Their planes are frighteningly old and not particularly clean. Their customer service is all but non-existent. I strongly urge anyone to fly any other airline.

I've used the same backpack to travel for years and never had any issue. My first time flying sun country, they made me use their square tester. And despite me saying it's all clothes and would fit under the seat no problem, they charged me $65. And if I get charged that fee on the way back too, the alternative Delta flight would end up being cheaper. Don't fly with them.

Easily THE worst customer service of any airline I have flown on in years. The on plane stewardesses are arrogant and frankly alarmingly stupid. The airplanes don’t have WiFi and the baggage fees are sky high. Oh and they don’t take Amex. I will do my best to NEVER fly with them again
