Stop raising the rent. We all know you are showing great profits. Every time we get a cost of living raise, Sun Communities takes it away by raising the rent by the same amount. We all know it’s for profit because we get nothing more for the money.

Jill Sinclair seems to agree with the behavior of her staff and disregard for human decency. Again Jill was not present when her staff member hung up the phone regarding my issues but somehow feels that I WAS aggressive. I only drove to the office to confront the raggedy woman who was disrespectful and I will continue to stand on that! Do better sun community!!! Call anytime Ms Sinclair because I’d love to discuss the issue.. thanks, ps you have cameras so you know what happened!!!

This is the worst company I have ever dealt with . Renters and buyers - BEWARE- They do not care about you. They left us in Phoenix La Casa Blanca with no AC. The issue was brought up more than once over the last two years and it finally went kaput. Their response - here is a portable ac unit! The are terrible people. The senior management - especially that of Region 19 and the RVP of operations for Region 19 is incredibly inhumane. She is insulting, she does not answer your questions, she does not answer your emails.

My experience with Son communities has been actually amazing. I feel very comfortable here and the experience has been above and beyond when I’ve had issues with the appliances or anything like that. I put in a work ticket and they are right here when I stop by the office they have answers for me. I’ve also had very good experience with Miguel Salvador very respectful and professional. I give this community five stars. I have actually signed on for another year. That’s how content I am very pleased.

1st complaint is constant water outages the 3yrs I've been here they have water issues since day 1. They used to give out cases of bottled water till people started hording some had stacks of cases on their Lani. No more of that. They have had water trucks here portable showers you name it. 2nd They have staff that got in big argument with resident not 1st time that staff member was involved in conflict with people the guy was a big lazy jerk. They kicked girl out bulldozed her home. Where else would staff argue like that and keep their job? DONT LET SUN COMMUNITIES HANDLE ANY SALE YOUR INVOLVED IN !! I bought a place they got the seller for 1k and added 2.5k to the purchase price for dealing with the paperwork at the DMV. Should have cost about 500$ to transfer title and get a plate & registration. So do all the paperwork yourself. They already take 1k from every sale even if they DO NOTHING. Total Rip off. The residents mostly are great. We enjoy that part. Staff are nice except the JERK and he left finally !! Hot tub is broke most of the time even with a professional pool service !! They need cameras here to monitor the grounds broken windows slashed tires , break ins ,people driving wrong all the time, racing golf carts actual racing each other !! People complaining about others while doing same exact stuff themselves. The usual stuff that happens all over they could stop but make no effort to do so. They made 1/2 a BILLION last year but they need to raise rent ?? TO INCREASE PROFIT NOT TO AVOID LOSING MONEY.

If you bounce a check once, just once they do not forgive you!!! They stop communicating with you. You cannot use their portal to make payments!! They will not accept your personal check!! You are basically screwed if you have a bankruptcy.. which has nothing to do with them.. you are better off writing a letter or contacting state attorney general and file a complaint with them!!! They will look into it and do something!! I know it works because I did!! Don’t fall for their nice character!! They don’t care about you. It’s the bottom dollar they care about.. biggest slumlords in the state of Michigan!!

We have lived in the Sun Communities Hawaiian Gardens mobile home park since 1988(38 years). The first 20 years we lived here were very good. The park was well kept then, the residents took pride in keeping their lots clean and beautiful. The park management made sure to keep up on getting residents to keep their lots clean and clutter free. The park started significantly going downhill in the last 18 years. The park owners (SUN COMMUNITIES) do absolutely nothing to maintain the park anymore. The back part of the park gets massively flooded every time it rains. The owners have switched trash collection companies from Republic to Priority Waste Management who will only pick up one trash can unless you pay $13.00 monthly for an extra trash can. So that leaves residents with a very limited amount of garbage that they can put out on trash pickup day,so many residents have trash in their yards with no way to get it out. Just as recently as yesterday (March 31st,2026) they had to close one end of the main road because of a large sinkhole. Hawaiian Gardens has turned into the stereotypical trailer park. It used to be a “mobile home community” but not anymore. Now it’s stereotype.

this is the highest I have ever paid to stay AT A PARK, and nothing advertised works, the Wi-Fi doesn't work, no water pressure, no quiet stay, restrooms don't work, showers don't work no hot water for showers or laundry this place is a total dive, if you get mail you have to wait for them to open to get it so good luck with that, the place is dirty unkept and nothing works, hi rates for nothing so only stay with sun communities if you like throwing your money away. The only good thing about the place is the staff Teri is nice
