My shoes came with black stuff all over them and one set of laces I would like to refund.

If you closely examine the product images on our website, you'll notice that the ink is deliberately applied to create a distinct vintage appearance, with each pair undergoing a unique treatment. Moreover, the ink can be removed with acetone orr most household cleaners. We're actively collaborating with our factory to minimize the distress in future productions.
