I, too, was approached at a kiosk in a mall. Of course, as with any high pressure approach which I did encounter I believe you leave there (after making a purchase) and wonder if you got duped! I can only say that the young lady who demonstrated the curling iron was a skilled salesperson and I am not as skilled as she when utilizing the iron I purchased from her. In addition I purchased the shampoo/conditioner as well as their hair serum. I do like the iron! I also REALLY LIKE the shampoo and conditioner. I am a 66 year old female - who likes to wear my hair long - little longer than shoulder length. Ever 6 to 7 weeks I go to an Ulta Salon and get my roots professionally colored. So now you know I have salon colored 100% gray hair. I can truly say that I have never used a shampoo or conditioner that did not make my gray hair look frizzy right after washing until using this shampoo and conditioner! I noticed the effect the first time I used these two products - THEY ARE AMAZING! Even to just let my hair air dry my hair is different. Certainly my stylist achieves a smooth look for my hair but she adds several styling agents in order to do so. I would encourage anyone who understands what I am saying about shampoos on the market (and I use quality brand name shampoos/conditioners) to give their shampoo and conditioner a try. My hair now reminds me of when I was younger. It actually looks healthy right after washing it! And, as far as the curling iron - so far I like that as well! My only reason for the 4 stars rather than 5 stars really has to do with the high pressure salesperson I encountered at the kiosk. Which, in a way, sounds like this may be one method of purchasing their products so I probably should have given them a 5!

I was pleasantly surprised by how well this product worked. My daughter’s hair turned out beautiful when we used it. The only downside for me is the price, which feels a bit high. For the best results, I recommend working with small sections of hair. Overall, it does a great job.

The company are obviously trying to make amends to appease unhappy customers who have been conned into buying inferior products after demonstrating more superior tools on their hair while visiting shopping malls, (as happened to me while visiting Nashville Opry Mall from England in Sept 2023) . 18 months later I have received an apology and a genuine straightener as a replacement . I have changed my review from 1 star to 4 based, on the effort made recently to reach out. However the original experience was unacceptable. The company are obviously aware how many unhappy people are out there , and should be doing more to stop these kiosks using their products to con customers. It’s dishonest and immoral what is happening. Having said that the agent who contacted me (Veronica), did all she could to apologise and offer me a replacement tool, for the original one, which was was total rubbish and went straight in the bin. The replacement is much better quality and I am happy with it, albeit 18 months late.

Editing my review: Straight Ahead Beauty got back to me and provided a replacement product. The poor experience was from the individual supplier at the mall and not from Straight Ahead Beauty itself. Wish I read these reviews before I bought— I was told the product didn’t use heat. When I got home it was clearly just an ordinary straightener with heat. Very disappointed and reaching out to the manufacturer now. I don’t understand how they can get away with clearly false advertising.

I am really surprised at some of these reviews, I mean I do believe that the hair straightener is not worth the price I paid but, I straightened my hair 3 days ago and I have slept on my hair going day 3 and have not had to restraighten my hair. I think it is a good product, just not for the price. The shampoo and conditioner is amazing and so is the serum.

.I wish I would have looked at the reviews 1st. The 1 we came home with definitely isn't what they used on my daughter's hair. Paid $180 and it's not terrible. It actually does heat up really hot and works really good, it's just not what we thought we were bringing home. So I urge people 2compare the 1 they r giving u 2the 1 they use b4 u buy. I'm not really mad just disappointed in the company that has their name on this product and they are ok with these sales people not giving paying customers what they thought they paid 4.

I see that all of the reviews on here for Straight Ahead products are absolutely terrible however I purchased the hair straightener that came with a comb and holder for the hair straightener, a halo hair extension and the pro glider 2.0 as well as the hair serum and my products all perform the same way they did at the ziosk in the mall when I tried them. I'm not saying that they're necessarily the best or anything like that, and I definitely believe it's highly overprice, however the products all work great on my hair and makes my hair feel and look great.... so I'm a little shocked to see not one single positive review on here aside from mine. I think that it might depend where u get it exactly....some ziosk are shady. The reason I gave it 4 stars rather then 5 has to do with the pushy-ness of sales, and the cost.
