I have very short credit history and needed a small loan and thought stilt would be perfect since the help the under served. I was denied the loan. which was ok I prepared myself for that. but the reasons were way off. I have a credit score of 697 with short history. I have two credit cards with 8% usage(paid off every month) reason for denial: too many accounts with balances. insufficient evidence of future income to make future payments. I am employed full time and have been working at the same place for 17 years. If their system is automated then they fix the system I checked my transunion report and the only thing that they say keeping me back is a short credit history. I hope they fix their responses because it is upsetting to see being rejected for incorrect reasons.

I read the whole Newsweek article about how Stilt do not only rely on credit. But, at 7:02 today, I received an email today being denied because of my credit. With a fair credit rating and I have a large net income; I should have been approved. Because, if they accept people with no credit and no Social security number, I definitely should have been given a chance. I have over 30 months of on time payments! I believe that I was not approve because I am not an immigrant and I am Black! I would love ti know just how many people of my race that they actually approve! I just got off work and see an email for Stilt. Liza asked me for six months of statements and a voided check. How can I receive an adverse, denial for the loan at 7:02 am yesterday! Then, today they want to verify my income! I never use the race card! But, I called it right. They saw both my ID's; then denied me!

Had a horrible experience with Stilt recently. God save you if your funds are not reflected in your Stilt account after five working days. Lots of bugs in their website and mobile app. Even the transaction dates are shown two days before they actually happened. I had transferred $2000 to my Stilt checking account to pay Stilt personal loan monthly installment and to remit the remaining funds to my parents for their expenses. The funds were deducted from my US bank account but were not reflected in my Stilt account. My funds were stuck there for more than 6 weeks! All my financial plans for the month and the next collapsed. I was charged $37 for insufficient funds. Had to manage funds somehow to manage my financial obligations. I waited more than a week after the transfer to contact Stilt through their chatting service. However, I didn’t get any response. Tried Stilt chat again in week three. Still no response. I tried calling them and told them I need my funds urgently and to fix this on high priority. The representative raised a ticket but asked me to keep following up everyday. I still agreed to that and followed up everyday for that week and a few days in the next week. They asked me to send screenshot of the funds being deducted from my US bank account. I did that immediately. I got a response on email saying our technical team is looking into it. The fifth week I had a lot of work and couldn’t follow up. In the sixth week, I called them but the transaction was still not processed. The same representative answered each time. This time, they asked me to confirm from my US bank that the funds were transferred to Stilt. They were clearly not taking this seriously. The representative even argued with me on call saying this is your money and you should be more proactive in following up. It was a proper verbal fight on the call. Highly unprofessional. I called my US bank to confirm the transaction was successful which the US bank representative did confirm. I informed this to Stilt through email and also sent my US bank statement showing the funds were transferred to Stilt as a proof. Just to ensure they got the email, I called Stilt and told them about the email. A couple of days after this, I finally got my funds in Stilt checking account. This was the worst customer service experience I have had. Lost money, a lot of my time following up and a lot of mental stress with no mistake of my own.

They are the best. They helped me with my debts!! I would recommend them!!

I thought Stilt was a great company when they agreed to give me the loan that I was looking for with fair terms despite not great credit. They then prompted me to open a checking account and told me that I would receive: -$10 sign-up bonus - 5% cashback on interest for loan payments I opened the checking account. In addition, I'm paying a subscription to have my payments reported to the bureaus. 3 months after opening account, I have received none of the above. I keep being told my issue will be escalated and told to wait for things to process. I've been very patient in waiting and have never seen anything come through. I would think that with a customer having none of what they were promised coming through and having reached out 5-7 times, they would do a better job of following up, but I'm the one who has to keep following up, and it's been such a waste of time for me. So to recap, great if you have not-great credit and would like to get a loan. But don't expect great ongoing support with them and don't open a checking account with them.

They clearly only support marginalized peoples of certain countries and lighter skin tones. Used their entire mission statement against my application and denied me. Refused to see my employment as legit, even though they work with unemployed/students/undocumented etc. Time wasting, pandering, lies.

It was very Simple and good service. The portal that they provide is very easy to use and self explaining. Flexible payment methods. Coming to their service, I felt they can provide little more time to accept the loan offer. But, customer service at any point of the duration was good and responsive. Decent interest rate compared with others. Overall, Stilt can be recommended to anyone who is looking for personal loans.
