sensor was a lemon
I've been using Stelo for about a year and have had a handful of bad sensors during that time. In the past, they replaced them without any issues. My most recent sensor was different. From day one, it mostly flat-lined and didn't reflect my normal glucose patterns, even after eating. It also stopped reporting data any at times. After two days, I removed it and inserted a new sensor. I contacted Stelo and had to follow up multiple times. I even spoke with a supervisor who said the claim would be resubmitted. After all that, I received an email saying the replacement was denied because the sensor was determined to be working correctly. I don't understand how they reached that conclusion. Anyone looking at the data can see the sensor wasn't functioning properly. At $50 per sensor, I expect a company to stand behind its product when it fails. The sensor failures are always frustrating, but the refusal to replace it has caused me to lose confidence in Stelo. I won't be continuing with them.
