Misleading Claims, Hidden Terms, and Zero Service – Avoid Sapphire Resorts
Our experience with Sapphire Resorts has been deeply disappointing due to misleading promises and high-pressure sales tactics. During our presentation, we were falsely assured that our unused annual points would never expire, only to discover later that they were wiped out completely. When we brought this up, representatives tricked us into upgrading our membership under the pretense of recovering those lost points. On top of that, we were told we could easily generate extra income by renting out our unit, which turned out to be completely false. Despite paying for years for a timeshare we never even use, we faced intense pressure to buy even more the last time we visited. Now that we have fallen behind on maintenance fees, we are entirely blocked from using the service altogether. Beware of entering an agreement with this company.

Sapphire Resorts - Unusable & Misleading
Purchased our timeshare with Sapphire Resorts under the impression it would be a convenient travel option and a great investment, but the experience has been a complete nightmare. During a high-pressure sales presentation that lasted over two hours, we were given numerous false assurances. We were told there were no blackout dates, that our membership was for life when it is actually capped at 45 years, that we could leave it to our heirs, and that we could easily rent it out. Additionally, we were never told that maintenance fees could increase, and we were promised free trips that we never received. Despite these claims, we have never been able to use the timeshare even once because there is zero availability. When we realized we had been misled into a contract we never intended to buy and asked Sapphire Resorts to let us out, they flatly refused. Do not trust their promises or expect them to provide the service you pay for.

Beware of Sapphire Resorts
Our experience with Sapphire Resorts has been a nightmare. We were sold on the convenience of using the timeshare to travel, but it has been anything but that. From the start we were misled regarding fees and ease of use. We were also manipulated into upgrading and wasting more money. Our efforts to work with them have been disregarded. The last correspondence we received from them was so rude and dismissive. They even said they would not continue to “go back and forth with us” when we are simply trying to reach a mutually beneficial end to our agreement. If you have money to waste and never want to take a vacation this is the place for you. Do not trust them to provide you with the service you pay for.

I deeply regret signing a contract with…
I deeply regret signing a contract with this company; they are without a doubt the absolute worst. The resorts offer terrible value due to their exorbitant fees, and we are now stuck in a perpetual obligation that they refuse to let us out of. I strongly advise others to stay as far away from this absolute nightmare as possible

Don't TRUST them!!
We are extremely disappointed with our experience with Sapphire Resorts. During the sales presentation, the representative explicitly lied and told us that this purchase was not a timeshare. We trusted their pitch about easy travel, only to find it completely misleading and unusable.
Even after working hard to pay off our entire loan balance, they continue to hound us with rising maintenance fee bills for a membership we can't use and want nothing to do with. Now they are suggesting we transfer this burden onto someone else or pay additional fees to get out of our contract that was built entirely on lies and misrepresentations. Customer service is entirely unhelpful and dismissive. Do not trust them!

COMPLETE SCAM
They held us there for over 4 hours while we asked over and over for our IDs back. Then they charged an annual fee twice within 2 months. The salesman was pushy and was telling us about all of the physical altercations he's had. It was a complete scam and now we are fighting them. DO NOT SIGN ANYTHING!!! This is a scam!!!

Sapphire Resorts
Sapphire Resorts continues holding our account hostage for some reason unbeknownst to us. They told us in writing that our account may be subject to forfeiture soon–we let them know we were more than happy to forfeit our membership, as we no longer wish to remain members. Yet they still keep calling and emailing us to collect membership dues that we have no intention of paying! We do not want to renew our membership with them, and we want to close our accounts. These people are vampires who will stop at nothing to keep the money flowing.

WARNING - DO NOT BUY INTO THIS
We were looking to book a Grand Canyon tour while in Las Vegas when we came across a booth on the Strip offering what seemed like an incredible deal: $50 per person for the tour, a $100 food voucher, and $100 in casino credit per person, as long as we agreed to attend a tour of the Cosmopolitan Hotel.
I was hesitant from the beginning because it sounded too good to be true. However, after comparing prices and discussing it with my husband, we decided to give it a chance.
Looking back, the entire experience was extremely misleading from start to finish, and we felt like we were dealing with shady and overly aggressive salespeople every step of the way.
We met the representative at the Cosmopolitan, as instructed, for the required "tour." We were then quickly escorted down a hallway, into an elevator, and taken to Sapphire Resort, where we were seated for a nearly two-hour timeshare presentation. During the presentation, they attempted to convince people to spend approximately $17,000 to buy into their program.
At no point did we feel that we had been given a clear explanation of what we were actually signing up for. In fact, I had a bad feeling almost immediately. The representatives were extremely persuasive, constantly trying to sweet-talk you and build a sense of trust before getting into the sales pitch.
After the presentation, each couple was taken aside individually and pressured to purchase the timeshare. When we declined, they continued questioning us about why we weren't interested and whether our decision was based on financial reasons or something else.
Quite frankly, it's none of their business.
No means no. It's really that simple.
After we declined several times, a manager was brought over, who also proceeded to pressure us and try to convince us to change our minds. I finally had to be very direct and told him that we were not interested, that nothing he said was going to change our minds, and that I would prefer not to waste either of our time.
We were then sent to another representative, who once again asked why we weren't interested and continued prying for personal information. We declined again.
Finally, after all of that, we received the supposed "perks" we had been promised: $100 in casino credit, a $100 food voucher, and a Grand Canyon tour voucher.
And, once again, the reality was very different from what we had been led to believe.
The $100 casino credit could only be used at one specific hotel and only on slot machines specifically labelled "promotional." There was a row of these machines tucked away at the back of the casino, with several of them out of order. Based on the rules attached to the promotion, actually winning anything was extremely unlikely.
The $100 food voucher was not actually a $100 food voucher. It was a discount offer for a percentage off at various fast-food restaurants, many of which we wouldn't have chosen to eat at anyway.
And the Grand Canyon "tour" wasn't actually booked for us. We were simply given a voucher and told that we had to call and make the reservation ourselves. Based on the way the deal was presented to us, we were under the impression that the tour had already been arranged once we paid.
The entire experience felt extremely misleading from beginning to end. What initially appeared to be an amazing deal turned into hours of high-pressure sales tactics, multiple attempts to get us to purchase a timeshare, invasive questions about our finances and personal decisions, and "perks" that were nowhere near what we thought we were receiving.
The biggest lesson for us was to trust your gut. I had a bad feeling from the very beginning, and I should have listened to it.
If something sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
I would strongly encourage anyone considering one of these deals to read the fine print, ask exactly what you're agreeing to, and understand what you're actually receiving before handing over any money. We certainly won't be making the same mistake again.
