startplaying.gamesReviews of startplaying.games

I'm a GM for startplaying and have been for almost 6 years now. I have loved working as a Professional GM and by far they are the most professional and well ran company I have worked for in the Professional GM field. The percentage they take to advertise and help players find my games is fair and way lower then other sites that do the same thing. They do their best to make sure the GMs that run on the platform are good at what they do and that is important because a bad GM can run players away from the whole community. They help new GMs get going with insights and FAQ pages that can help a GM get off on the right foot from the start. My experience has been phenomenal and I would recommend any GM who wants to try it out professionally go though the application possess. Just know that lazy or unmotivated GM will have a hard time it is not a easy job but can be very rewarding. To players the site helps you find a game that fits your play style with reviews from other players to show you what their experience has been. If you get worried when you see only good reviews for something just remeber in this field if you are not good then you do not last long. So most GMs who start getting bad reviews don't stay on the site.

As a GM working on the site I have only had one major issue and it was resolved extremely quickly. The staff I spoke with helped me clear up the issue extremely fast, even though it was not technically the company's fault. Great experience so far.

I've been running games on StartPlaying for about four months now and it has been a fantastic experience. Good onboarding tools, solid support, and regular events to support a range of excellent charities. I've been a freelance fiction writer for 30 years and StartPlaying has opened an entirely new career pathway for lifelong gamers and storytellers like me.

I've been on SPG since 2022 and run over 800 paid games as of this review. SPG compares favorably with other freelancing sites I have worked with in the past. During my time I have seen SPG work tirelessly to develop their services for players and GMs, using an effective data-driven approach that has helped us as GMs to grow our business. The company is transparent, with frequent communications for players and GMs including bi-weekly office hours where one of the founders answers our questions live on stream. SPG takes the security and comfort of players and GMs seriously, with extensive systems in place to ensure the smooth functioning of our business and the inclusivity and professionalism of the people we interact with. I have connected with many great players and great GMs through the platform, and I believe SPG's quality control measures and professionalism truly enhance the fun we have as TTRPG players and GMs.

Startplaying.games has been my employer for over 4 years, nearly 600 games run, and one of my main sources of entertainment as a paying player for half that time. The company values safety, inclusion, and fairness to players and GMs both. Their partnerships with industry leading brands, both mainstream and indie, has expanded my horizons and skills as a GM. I owe half my livelihood to sp.g, hundreds of hours of awesome entertainment, and I get to do my favorite pass time all the time. What's not to love?

Great service they’re providing and customer service is very responsive to questions.

Quality games at reasonable prices! I’ve enjoyed getting to dip my toes into systems I’m not familiar with, or have pickup games with the tried and true D&D!

I am a professional game master and run my games on Startplaying. In 30 years as a freelancer in four professions and seven countries: I NEVER found new clients as easily as I do with Startplaying. You run an amazing business that helps a whole community to thrive. Amaze, amaze, amaze!! :)
