The lift itself works fine. The beep signals that it produces when underway are apparently not subject to any volume control and are a bit annoying.

So far so good. I am holding out on the final star to see how it holds up over time and if it needs service, etc.

Overall we are very happy with Stannah and the stairlift. Their representative showed up as scheduled and gave us a thorough briefing of what to expect. He took measurements, explained the options and the costs, and left the house for us to make a decision without any high pressure tactics. Within a week or two we decided on their rent to own option, a choice another company did not offer. The installer showed up as scheduled and quickly got underway. It took him about six hours to complete the installation and another 45 minutes to show us how to operate the chair. He was friendly and professional. One month later, there have been no problems with the operation of the chair. This review would be five stars except for a minor issue. We requested blue seat covers but they arrived beige. The installer made a note to have someone bring blue covers, but this has not happened. I'm sure if we called they would swap them out, but we don't object to beige and have forgotten about it. Most importantly, the person who needs the chair is happy she no longer has to struggle, and the rest of us are happy we no longer have to worry about her falling down the stairs. Big thumbs up to Stannah and the stairlift..

Seems to work very good..Very quiet, and easy to run.

Communicating? Too many office contacts, differing responsibilities unclear.

September 28, 2017 I have used a Stannah stairlift for over 10 years now. I have an unstable spine but do not want screws and clamps surgery. My stairlift makes it possible for me to "climb stairs" successfully. I HAVE ALWAYS WISHED FOR A QUICKER RIDE. PLEASE ADD A SECOND, FASTER SPEED THAT CAN BE CHOSEN IF DESIRED. Thank you. Overall, this stair lift has helped me tremendously. I find myself going up and down the stairs more often instead of waiting until I have to. It works flawlessly according to its design. I thought I understood that someone would follow up with me. That hasn't happened so maybe I was mistaken. You'd think with all the engineering that went into this, they'd have a better way of raising and lowering the footrest. I have a curve in my stairway as it changes directions. I wish it would be a little faster. It slows almost to a stop for them. I could take a nap! Lastly, I have a fairly standard 40" stairway. This is pretty tight. They could have snugged up a couple of inches to one side and I wouldn't have to worry about my knees hitting. These are just nits. All that being said, I would do it again and highly recommend it.

Update. Was able to reach a representative and schedule a visit for a quick check on the lift. Very satisfactory experience. Have not had any problems with the stairlift operation. Great sales experience but post-sale follow up has been poor. Took several calls to get install set up. And, have not received any responses to multiple calls for insurance assistance.
