Mr. M.
Disappointing service!
I think your product is fine (although the automatic footrest stopped working after 3 days! I think the service was very poor! It was incorrectly measured to begin with so that the second stair lift could not be installed that day (July 12). After promising me that my order was to be given "the highest priority" and should be ready for installation within "a week to 10 days," I still don't have it! The new installation date is August 10th; nearly 4 weeks after it was remeasured! If that is your high priority service, I am underwhelmed! I think you should ensure that your sales team doesn’t make promises that can’t be delivered. I was told that it would be ready for installation in “ a week to 10 days.” I did call about tha problem with the foot rest and the solution offered did not fix the problem. We then agreed that I would wait for the installer to fix that problem.
Response from Stannah Stairlifts USAAug 7, 2018
Hello Mr. McNamara, We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. The error that required us to re-design your stairlift should not have happened. We can assure you that your rail re-make was given the highest priority, however 3-4 weeks is typical to design, manufacture, ship and install this type of stairlift. We will double check with all of our employees to make sure that this is 100% clear, but if someone did tell you that, we apologize for giving you inaccurate information. As to the issue with your footrest, are you still having trouble? We didn't receive a phone call about that; but if it's still a problem, we will be happy to address that for you when we come to install the second lift on Friday (or sooner, if you'd like). Once again, we're sorry that things got off on the wrong foot. We hope that once the new stairlift is installed, we can begin to change your opinion of our company and provide you with quality service going forward. Sincerely, The Stannah Team
