Mr. Z.
Thusfar very satisfied with the stair lift. Would be nice if you could adjust the speed a little.
Mr. S.
Installation was smooth and technician did excellent job of installing. Left the job clean. Lift runs smoothly and will recommend it. Wish had motorised turn feature. Good option to have.

We're very pleased with the final outcome/installation but we did have some communication problems and tension during the process. It's important during the process that sales, installers and supervisors are all on the same page, otherwise it can be confusing and frustrating for the customer. In spite of this, we recommend Stannah Stairlifts to others. It is a terrific product.

The equipment worked smoothly, but there is a high pitched noise from the seat when moving down, but not up. Stannah sent a guy who cannot hear high frequencies to fix it. It seems that they have no ability to fix this in the US, and have not yet gotten back to me

The switch on my 13 month old stairlift failed this Sunday morning. I always wondered about service calls because I am so dependent on the stairlift. I called th 888 number. The person who fielded my call was very professionals and told me they would try and get someone out today. Fifteen minutes later I got a call back and the technitian arrived an hour later and replaced the switch. Problem solved. The service call cost $220 because it was Sunday. I was more tan happy to pay it as the fact that I could get immediate service is so important.

Chair works great except for the remote that brings the chair up or down when it is vacant. I have to press very hard on the remote to get the chair to come up the stairs empty and ditto on calling it down from the 2nd floor empty. A few times, I had to walk up and also walk down since the chair would not operate using the remote. I intend to contact Stannah to see what they can do about the remote. Would have given them 5 stars if no problem with the remotes.

Hi Ms. Vozella, We're glad to hear it's "Mostly good"! As my colleague Jenn just mentioned, we'll be out to take a look at the remotes. Meanwhile, be sure to point the remote at the back of the chair when using it. Regards, -- Martin Stevenson, Stannah Stairlifts

It works well with one exception: When the lift partially rotates at the top of the stair in order to provide an exit, the floor platform does not rotate, so the feet must be lifted upon arrival and placed on the floor. Upon going down, the feet have to awkwardly be placed on the floor platform as the upper body separately rotates.

Hello Mr. Rhoades, We're glad to hear that your stairlift has been working well for you. We'd like to take a moment to explain a little bit about our design and clarify some of the issues you've been having. When your lift reaches the top of the stairs, the upper portion of the chair is meant to turn onto the landing, while the footrest remains stationary. This is not a fault, but rather a key design feature. The goal is to make sure the user has a smooth transition from chair to landing before he or she gets in or out of the stairlift. Your footrest should have a finishing position that is level with the top landing. This ensures that the feet need not be lifted up or down and eliminates all tripping hazards involving the footrest. If you are finding that things aren't level or are otherwise difficult, we can perform a seat height adjustment to make sure that your lift is tailored to your needs. Also available is a "powered swivel" option that will make the turn onto the landing automatically. We'll be checking in with you soon to further explain the benefits of a stationary footrest and see if there is anything we can do to improve your experience. Sincerely, The Stannah Team
