Everything has been done very well and efficiently. I would consider 5 stars, but I'm saving that for Someone who exceeds expectations (like Stannah) and doesn't charge me anything.

The people at the Stannah office in MA were great. I found comparing the other models and those of rival maker very helpful. My only frustration is that the lift goes so-o-o slowly up and down our stairs. And I have to turn in back towards the wall so that my husband can get by. To do this I have to reach over to the button that lifts the step rest, and then put up the handles. It makes me a little uneasy reaching over because I am afraid I'll loose my balance. Quiet and smooth. Trimmer than older models. More safety features. Do not like the flashing light when the off button is in off position.

The Stairlift is a great product. It works beautifully and we couldn't do without it right now. (We've rented the Stairlift because my husband has a broken ankle and can't go up and downstairs for several months.) Doug, the sales rep who came to the house first was excellent. Extremely knowledgable, professional, thorough and friendly. Quick to respond to questions we had before the installation. Only complaint: During installation, the technician made a big gouge at the front edge of one of the stair treads, under the rail, so I didn't notice it for a couple of days. We knew we would have to repair the screw holes for the track, but this repair will take some doing, and the installer didn't mention the damage when he was here. He did do a good job at explaining how the product worked, but it's too bad he didn't acknowledge his mistake before he left.
