This has been the worst experience ever. I booked 3 reservations for the Bayfield Riverside Resort and your system screwed up everything. Bayfield can't find our reservations and can't see the payments we made. I've spent wayyyyy too much time trying to figure things out. We travel a lot and use Good Sam for our bookings. We've NEVER had such a screwed up reservation.

Nowhere on the rv website does it say your going to charge 10% for booking online What good is having Good Sam discounts if you’re going to add it back in Will never book another reservation using this site

Hi Richard, thank you for your feedback. We do charge a small convenience fee, like many platforms that make life a little easier. This fee, often less than 10%, allows us to keep providing personal service to help our travelers boom RV spots in real time instead of spending their time searching for availability and calling campgrounds. I booked a site with Spot2nite and less than an hour later I receive an email stating they cancelled my site per my request. I did not request the site to be canceled, they just did it and told me I would receive a refund in 5-10 days. Now the refund is showing in my card but for an amount less than I originally paid.

You didn’t give me the opportunity to use my Good Sam discount and you added fees above what the campground charges. I will run if I see your name on something again.

There’s also the ability to add any memberships in the profile section of your Spot2Nite account, which I would be happy to personally add for you, and to apply your membership for the existing reservation you made. Spot2nite has a credit card charge I was told of $15.00 for running my card. That seems outrageous!!! I will obviously never use their services again and would encourage others to “BUYER BEWARE”. I WAS PROMISED AN EMAIL EXPLAINING HOW 3 nights that cost $160.05 resulted in a charge of $199.63. The email never arrived! After reading the comments below, I must state: FIRST— No email arrived! However, I was able to retrieve my original receipt date 4/27/2023. I must correct the transaction fee charged. I was quoted $15.00 as stated above, however the $15.00 is actually the Spot2Nite charge of 10% for making the reservation and the transaction fee for running my credit card was only $6.19. Again I reiterate, BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!

The receipt you received directly from the park did not represent any of the taxes that were charged for your stay— so when you compare it with your Spot2Nite charges, I understand the amounts are not the same. I am sending you your Spot2Nite confirmation email again and would be happy to go through each line with you to make sure we have a better understanding. There was a Spot2Nite booking fee and 12.3% tax charged from the park that were displayed before booking, as we strive for total transparency. Spot2Nite states that they have a full refund policy but further down it says there's a $20.00 cancellation fee, which is not a full refund. What really irritated me was that they took more money than the $20.00 cancellation fee, again not a full refund. If anyone is listening or reviewing my comments, book directly with the resorts because Spot2Nite is only interested in taking your money and not providing good customer service.

Hi Michael, Thank you for the feedback and for taking the time to review. Spot2Nite does not charge a cancellation fee— each individual campground determines their own cancellation policy. While your convenience charge and transaction fees are non-refundable, as outlined before check-out, the refund of your reservation cost is park-specific. The cancellation policy and all other park-specific rules and info are displayed while browsing parks, as well as in your shopping cart and confirmation email. If you ever have any specific questions about a Park’s policies, we are always more than happy to talk by phone, email, or text anytime! Safe travels!

Each park has different taxes and fees which will appear with transparency in your cart before checkout. Please keep in mind you can apply your discount memberships before checkout as well. I could have booked my rv site directly with the park for the same daily rate and it would have cost me nothing extra. Instead, Spot2Nite charged me the going rate PLUS $26 service fee PLUS $11.38 transaction fee PLUS $2 on line booking fee. Total rip off!
