Sportsman's GuideReviews of sportsmansguide.com

So I ordered Ammo, and after 5 months I got no updates and it never came. And almost a year later I get a bill on my CC for 49 dollars for a Sportsman guide renewal - WHAT!!! these guys are scammers and need to be shut down. Do not shop with them and avoid them.

Lately shipping issues with them. They doubled the shipping almost overnight and make you pay 19.99 for the slow boat option of Fed Ex which also has gotten worse. Bottom line is I can get any item they offer for the same price or less and now without a doubt now get free shipping or lower shipping charges without having to pay a membership fee to get normal shipping charges. That is what it is all about.. Join our club or pay double charges for shipping. Very dumb move. They must think the customers are dumb too and like throwing their money away. If they are out to make irate customers they are off to a good start. Even Cabelas offers free shipping after 50 dollars with no membership required. I can get ammo cheaper at Brownells or Aim surplus with better shipping and cheaper...I can go on with better choices..Goodbye Sportsmans Guide

Sportsman's Guide — 705550 Winchester, NATO 9mm Luger, 124 Grain, FMJ, 1,000 Rounds with Ammo Can Item #705550 Winchester, NATO 9mm Luger, 124 Grain, FMJ, 1, 000 Rounds with Ammo Can was Placed on order 7-29-20... This was placed on Back Order again and again was pushed out for months and months, now Expected Ship Date 6/4/2022... while at the same time SG continues to sell 9MM ammo. Is this a Bait and Switch action??? Should a Class Action Law Suit be filed?? Other customers are getting the same run around. NOT HAPPY. I also see that many other customers have also filed similar complaints with BBB and other Complaint WebSites about SG.

Ordered a Camouflaged Coverall. So poorly boxed it fell apart and USPS lost the contents. They shipped a second order and it arrived broken open through FedEx. They promised a refund if the only available coverall in a smaller size didn't fit. I returned them. Waiting almost a month for a refund with excuse after excuse as to why the refund hasn't come through yet. Now they promised a check. Yep, checks in the mail! NEVER AGAIN FOR SPORTSMAN'S GUIDE!!!

At one time this was a good company, don't know what happened to them. For sure will be closing my account. Went downhill when PayPal arrived. Product on order for over a year ago and still not shipped yet they have reviews listed from 5 months ago about great price and availability. Sportsman Guide should not be in business.

You got me once, never again. Ordered an item that they didn’t have in stock, they reimbursed my money, minus the tax and shipping. Still waiting for Sportsman’s scam house to refund the rest, I’m sure I’ll never see it.

We ordered ammunition in June or July of 2020 and now we're getting a notice that it will not be here until July of 2022. So in other words, they're claiming to me that it'll be almost 2 years since the order date, which doesn't pass the smell test even with the ammunition shortage. We've been getting a notice about once every 3 months pushing the back order date further and further. We finally had to cancel the order because we are moving and we couldn't deal with the hassle anymore, as it wasn't worth the price that I was going to have to pay for it. All I've gotten from the seller is hassles with every order. And their membership is not worth the price either because you end up not even getting the stuff that you ordered that you thought would make it worth the cost.

I bought a small quantity of ammo September 1st, 2020 and they still have failed to deliver. I had 6 previous notices saying it will be two more months. I just got another delayed email for 3 more weeks. Their website shows it in stock. I have never filed a complaint with the BBB but I had to with this company. Waiting over 14 months to get a promised order is excessive. There was not an ammo shortage Sept of last year. 14 months ago I could have got the same item at another store but I kept waiting on this company to deliver and paid a few months of their membership fees.
