Is this company compromised now, or are they just full of new hires that are untrained?
I applied for a loan last month, got approved, then paid it off early to avoid interest. That all seemed legit and wonderful, so I figured I'd continue to do business with them since it was a smooth process the first time, but nope! Here's the issue. Today I reapplied for a loan since they said I'd be eligible for a higher amount at a lower interest rate. I got approved for the same amount; which is fine. Then the issues started when the web portal threw errors stating "cannot open contract, contact Totality". So I contacted support through the chat portal. The lady kept asking me for my account balance to make sure I can cover the transaction; which is odd since I'm taking a loan out, not paying for one. I asked why she needed that info, then she said that's ok, I don't need it now. After that she asked for my full banking and routing info; yet they already have it. After questioning why they needed that too, she responded with "it's fine, someone will contact you" then she disconnected. This all feels like a scam compared to the first time. I was able to do everything through the web portal and sign my documents easily, but it seems that system has been compromised. They even tried calling me from another company named "Cash for Whatever". Not to mention I couldn't even understand the chat reps; as their texts were full of typos. After waiting, I have yet to receive any correspondence from underwriting or customer service. Every time I call they say to wait 30-45 mins, but when I call after waiting they tell me to keep waiting. Now my online account doesn't show anything or even the loan I applied for. I have transferred my funds from my checking to another account so they can't take it. I also informed my bank that this company may try to charge unauthorized transactions since the lady told me they'd be taking out in a few weeks. I never received any funds from Splash Cash, nor did I sign any documents for a loan. I don't know what happened the first time, because that loan process was smooth. Maybe they've been hacked? Maybe their system is broken? Either way, when it comes to my money, I like to be informed on the process and not be given the run around. If they don't fix this I will continue to spread this across social media, BBB, and everywhere else this company is listed.
