Disappointing
Having worked with competitive obedience dogs for years, I was disappointed in this SpiritDog course. It didn't tell me anything I didn't already know, although it was a different technique. It did reinforce the concept of management and positive behavior modification. The course was well organized and may be beneficial to average pet owners.

Hi Carol, Our courses are targeted towards pet dog owners :) If you have been participating in competitive obedience for many years, the course would probably be "too easy" and contain a lot of information you already know. Our team is processing a refund for you :)

Highly Recommend...
The Spirit Dog Training course on reactivity has been very informative, professional, supportive, and enjoyable. In fact, without it, I am not sure that I would have been able to keep my Australian Cattle Dog; he's been the most difficult dog I have experienced, but I am seeing real progress and hope. I think we'll be fine...

I have learnt so much!
I have learnt so much from the trainers at SpiritDog! I can see the changes with my dog so far. I have a very busy household so the recommended short training sessions and work at your own pace learning is perfect for my situation. Even if I only have a little time in the evening, I can watch a video before bed, or squeak in some training in the morning before work even :) Huge thank you to SpiritDog

Would recommend
The courses are great and I really enjoy that you can get feedback and have a place to ask questions. I experienced a lot of positive changes in my dog, and I would recommend it to anyone. The team is very quick to respond with any questions or concerns, which is always appreciated. Overall very satisfied!

Why in the world would I purchase this course not knowing if this is a one time charge or understanding there might be other charges associated with this course in the future

I think these courses must be for…
I think these courses must be for people who have never tried to train a dog before. If you’ve tried and your dog is stubborn, and you explain what’s actually going on to these guys, you’ll get an email that they really can’t help you. After they have your money. If all you need to do is teach a dog to sit, fine. If you rescued a dog that is trying to chew the doors off the hinges due to separation anxiety, they will tell you thanks for your money but they can’t help you. Rip off if you have actual issues.

Hi Sarah, I went back to check on your email conversation with our trainer. In that email you stated that your dog had "broken off a tooth and torn up his snout in the process" of trying to escape in separation anxiety, as well as "there were wood chips and blood from his snout everywhere". It is not ethical for us to provide behavior modification for such a case over the internet. A dog that is harming themselves or others always needs to be seen by an in-person trainer for their own safety and that of everyone else involved. We actually state specifically on our website that we cannot assist with cases where safety necessitates an in-person professional :) That being said, there are many areas of training for which online training works very well - as can be seen in our over 1,300 training videos. In any case, we offer a 60 day unconditional refund guarantee on our courses :) I hope that a veterinary behaviorist has been able to see and help your dog! I am sorry he has been this stressed.

SpiritDog Rocks! Tackling Reactivity Course is 5 Stars!
The Tackling Reactivity course is extremely informative. I am still in the early stages of reactivity/counterconditioning training with my reactive dog, but the results thus far are promising. One of the best parts of this course is that it is extremely affordable and the SpiritDog team is full of professionals who know their stuff!
