We have been customers of COX INTERNET for over 20 years. We had storm damage that caused damage to the internet wire connected to the house. We texted and got a service call scheduled late in the day between 5 -6:30 pm. We got a text that the service person would be at our home at about 5:13 pm. We immediately went outside to help him get to the wire. He never showed. Got a text that the service was canceled. Can't call and get help unless you want to hold for over an hour. So we have to text with a "live" agent. Asked why the service had been canceled. Told because the tech knocked and didn't get an answer and called and didn't get an answer. TOTAL LIE!! No calls on our call list. No one came to our door. We were out there waiting before he was to arrive. The description given of our home was totally wrong. They had got thru to us with texts, but no texts from tech received. No calls. No showing up at our home. What did they do to help us? We have to wait 2 more days without internet. Maybe the tech will show up. BUT they wanted us to upgrade our plan for a more costly one! This was their offer!! We're looking for a new internet provider! COX SOLD TO SPECTRUM. Spectrum gets a 1.5 star rating from its customers! Thanks a lot, COX, for selling us out!!

Really hate, WORST Ever service Spectrum. Horrible service. It would be outage 3 times a month, especially in the morning. I want to move out somewhere another inter net service available. Very frustrated with Spectrum !!! Spectrum must get out of the market !!

Absolute worst internet provider there is. Multiple outages a month lasting half the day or more. Always in the middle of the day. They refuse to compensate for lost time. If you work from home, use anyone else for internet. I can’t wait to switch providers. I had Truestream for 4 years before moving to this city and not one outage. Spectrum is a JOKE.

Abysmal customer service. Terrible internet. They amp your prices up and slow your internet down, to the point where I finally checked out Fiber...with another carrier since Spectrum was $4 higher. Why should I up my service with them when I only have two people in the home and they can't handle that with regular internet?! Way to greed your way out of a customer! I'm sure whatever fatcat CEO makes these decisions will be bouncing with their gazillion dollar parachute soon. Back to service, they literally held me hostage on the phone for almost FIFTEEN MINUTES to cancel. I think making it that hard should be criminal.

Constant interruption in service. Many “outages” reported. “Planned outages” are never planned. No details given for so-called “planned outage” in my area as well as the “outages” apparently reported by others. Customer service is only there to pacify you. Questions regarding the security vulnerabilities to the firewall are unanswered. I have also asked about concerns in the disconnections of my personal security system that relied on internet coverage, work from home interruptions, baby monitors, and so many other issues that arise from constant internet outages, to which are never answered. It unacceptable. No refunds for time without internet, which is often. Throttling seems very likely. They dont have adequate equipment nor the ability to supply services the consumers who pay for. It’s like a rolling black out to preserve by some to be consumed by others. Rich man Robin Hood without the charity. It’s basically stealing from the service you pay for. I look forward to the law suit to come. In the meantime I will be using Trustpilot to find a VPN to prevent throttling while I also use Trustpilot to find an honest and reliable service proper for my needs.

Took out Spectrum’s internet and TV service on a temporary visit to California. Explained in the store when we would be leaving and they said no problem. Took the equipment back on our leaving day to be told that we were one day past the monthly billing cycle date. So they charged a full month (nearly $200) when we had their equipment for one day of that month. The store knew the dates and nobody alerted us to this fact. We would have simply returned the previous day if we had been aware. Won’t be using them again. That’s theft.
