Sparx Reader hasn't helped me a single bit with my reading. They make it incredibly dificult to gain XP. If you get a **single** question wrong you have to do it all over again and only get about 6 xp making the average task of about 300 XP take rougly a school week with all other homework that you're required to complete. I also have Sparx Maths which is still a pain but much better than Sparx Reader. It takes the joy away from reading a good book. The fact that schools have to PAY to use this system is an absolute joke.

I actually love Sparx Reader as a student! It helps me so much with reading, especially with features like scaling the text and changing fonts. It’s super helpful and makes reading more accessible. I've always struggled with reading; the words jumble up and I lose track easily. However, I really dislike the Golden Reader feature. The idea of "Banked SRP" doesn’t make sense to me. Why can’t I just get the points immediately after completing a chapter and answering the questions? I’ve done the work, so why delay the reward? It feels unnecessary and it's just an annoyance, especially when you're reading a long book. However, I might just be informed of how it works.

I am a parent and wish my children's school would stop using this. It sucks the joy out of reading! They have to read on a screen and you can't even get a physical copy of the book as it checks your progress online. This is ridiculous - It is discouraging the pleasure of picking up a book and reading. Why force them to do everything on a screen, even reading novels! It is not good to be forced to be on screens even more! Let the pupils read! Books! Actual books! It is very sad that this discourages the real joy of reading.

I personally think sparx reader is quite bad, I'm forced against my will to choose a selection of books that I'm not in retested reading and if you get a question wrong it sends you back to the first question.

This is an honest question which I don't understand hasn't been resolved. This is a learning app, this is meant to create a good bond with books for readers. My problem is with gold reader. It doesn't last long, it takes ages to get, and without it, this app is practically useless. It doesn't take into account that everyone has different tastes in genre, what would make it a better experience, is if, after completing the homework, students can read whichever book they like, it doesn't make much sense to me why they can't log a book that they are akready reading and loving. Getting gold reader, or essentially premium education, shouldn't have to take that much. Its by far the worst app whose aim is to increase reading in students. I love to read but this actually runs it for me by forcing me to read books I don't want to. Ridiculous.

The teachers say it takes u an hour no it doesn't it takes ppl like 3 hours one of my classmates literally said she was crying over sparx reader I do too it's terrible please get rid of this sparx reader website it makes ppl not like reading and puts stress on people especially year 10 or year 11 they need to focus on GCSE not sparx reader and the books are terrible I've never even heard of any of them and I have a high reading age and it asks are you struggling NO IM STRUGGLING WITH THE QUESTIONS it makes it look like your struggling with the reading but your not your struggling with the questions and the questions sometimes the questions are worded differently to the answer so when your looking for the answer YOU CANT BLOODY FIND IT and when you get 3/4 it asks you to try again like BRO I spent 20 mins trying to read the 500 paragraphs we are meant to memorise even when I ask my family for help even they struggle just please get rid of this monstrosity it's TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE I spend days trying to complete this homework and I can't ever complete it so THERE can the ceo of sparks just get rid of this pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeee I'm not even stressed about gcse im stressed about SPARX READER it makes me cry my eyes out because I can't do it and the timer you get given IS TOO FAST and you can't even remember what you have just read LISTEN...WE DONT STRUGGLE WITH THE READING WE STRUGGLE WITH THE QUESTIONS YOU IDIOTS and the books start from the middle of the book so we don't even know what's going on in the book so we are just confused on who these random characters are and I have to do 600 points to complete it like WHATTT its outrageous tbh when you get an easy book it gives you like 10 each time but when you get a hard book it gives you like 500 paragraphs to remember like how so then when we could've got like 100 points you could get 3/4 but it wouldn't count so you would loose it all over one mistake and it makes you think your stupid which your not so GET RID OF THIS WEBSITE NOWWWW!!!!!!
