I hate sparx reader with a passion because it is pointless and it doesn't even help me with my reading. I don't see the reason schools keep on using it because it isn't beneficial in any ways. It is a waste of time and effort from the developers of it. I am actually enjoying my day at school until i realize that sparx reader is due tomorrow and then that is suddenly all that i can think about for the rest of the day and then even if i do forget about it i get reminded to do it at like 2 o clock in the morning and if i dont do it then i get a detention so i ask kindly from myself to you to delete you're website from the public and decide to make an actual good site for homework. Also to put on top of that it says that it takes 30 mins to achieve 200 SRP when in reality it takes 4 hours 2 hours of doing it and the other two hours are spent in a deep depression that you cannot get out of for the rest of the week.

Worst Homework App Ever!
It is constantly pressuring me to do it or you get an after school. I love reading but they ruin it by asking you questions. For these questions, you don’t get the see the book while you answer them so you have to remember them. Takes me one hour every week to do and it is a complete waste of my life. I would give a negative rating if I could. Worst thing ever.

Sparx Reader is shit
To whom it may concern,
I am writing to express my growing frustration with Sparx Reader, which has become increasingly difficult to use and, honestly, feels more like a chore than a helpful learning tool. While I understand the intention behind the platform, the actual experience is far from smooth or engaging, and the issues keep piling up to the point where it affects my motivation to read at all.
To start with, the interface is extremely slow and clunky. Pages lag when loading, especially if the book has illustrations or if I scroll too quickly. Sometimes the app freezes entirely, which forces me to refresh the page or even restart my device. When I’m trying to get reading done within a certain time, this becomes incredibly annoying.
Another big issue is the tracking system, which feels overly strict and not very smart. Sparx Reader constantly accuses me of “skimming” or “not reading properly,” even when I actually am reading every line. Sometimes I’ll just blink or look up for a second, and it suddenly thinks I’ve skipped half the page. Other times, it refuses to believe I’ve read a page even if I’ve been staring at it for a full minute. This makes the whole experience feel more like I’m fighting with an automated system than actually reading a book.
Then there’s the questions. The questions themselves aren’t the problem — the problem is how they interrupt the flow of reading. I’ll just start getting into the story, maybe after a difficult chapter or after finally understanding what’s going on, and suddenly Sparx throws me a random quiz question that completely breaks immersion. And if I get one wrong — even by accident — it takes me back paragraphs and forces me to re-read things I’ve already read properly. It doesn’t feel like learning; it feels like being punished.
On top of that, the book selection feels limited and outdated. A lot of the books are either too easy, too dull, or just not the kind of stories anyone my age would actually choose to read. It’s hard to stay motivated when the platform forces you to read something you’re not interested in, especially when the entire system keeps slowing you down with interruptions and errors.
The overall result is that Sparx Reader turns something that should be enjoyable — reading — into something stressful and frustrating. Instead of encouraging students to read more, it ends up making us dread it. Reading shouldn’t feel like a technical obstacle course controlled by a glitchy system; it should feel natural, fun, and engaging.
To be honest, I think Sparx Reader needs serious improvements: better tracking, a smoother interface, fewer interruptions, a larger book selection, and maybe a system that trusts the reader more instead of constantly assuming we’re cheating. Right now, it feels more like the platform creates problems instead of solving them.
Thank you for taking the time to consider this feedback. I hope something can be done, because as it stands, Sparx Reader is making reading harder, not easier.

The problem with Sparx Reader that nobody bothers to address.
The problem with sparx reader is that the entire thing is flawed. They spent so long trying to make their features, that they forgot to actually make people enjoy it, and therefore why so many people have bad reviews. Your more likely to enjoy a text and remember more, if you are actually intrested. But because of them trying to add quizzes, and Gold Reader, they completely forgot to add a good range of books. It seems so confident that your reading age is at a certain level, no matter how much you tell it that it needs to be adjusted, with the expectations that you make a fuss about it to your teacher, who often won't do much. It's also really unfair and demotivating when other students are getting mass amounts of points and are completing their homework, yet you're still stuck getting 20 srp for paragraphs/pages of reading. I would like it more if there were more books to read, and you have to get like "Pass 4 sessions to complete this weeks homework"
