Most of the time i don't like homework but i do it anyway, however, the fine exception to this is the sparx platform. Sparx maths , reader and science don't help me like they are supposed to , they make me want to drag my computer straight to hell along with the absolute bombaclat who thought this shit education system was inovative . I would give it minus stars if I could , but apparently the people who made sparx have feelings . But apart from my blasphemy , the system repeatedly give you questions that are not made for your skill set , and sparx reader gives you the worst book choices of the 21st century. Not to mention that online you are 76% more likely to forget the material learnt because writing down homework produces muscle memory corresponding the the word written , but for all of this to be done on the internet which is proven to be harmful by the goverment and scientists , it proves that the UK has failed the generation in education because of the fact that is done on a low-quality website.To sum up this review , the sparx platform is very bad because of the quality and the system that I am 100% sure is run by AI .

Having an website that gets you to read and engage with books is in theory a good idea but one that can only become practical when implemented correctly. Sparx Reader fails quite horribly in this sense. To begin with, they only offer a limited selection of books suggested to you to choose from, yes this cuts down time wasted on picking a book but it also heavily restricts the content that you read to a select few genres that the site seems to arbitrarily choose. This means that often times you end up reading books that you would not enjoy usually as there is simply no other option. This also generates a problem with book series where, especially with Sherlock Holmes for me, once you finish reading a book from the series 2-3 other books of that series are suggested to you, further limiting the scope of books you have available. This is detrimental to Sparx Reader's ultimate goal which should be getting children and teenagers into reading books through easily accessible means and results in less people enjoying reading as a whole On top of this an arguably more egregious decision by Sparx was the points system. To ensure that you have in fact read the book, each extract is split with usually 4 questions. This oftentimes means that you read for 1-3 minutes then get cut from that flow state and forced to answer very simple questions for a random amount of points. Points given are officially determined by amount of time spent reading (which in and of itself is an issue) but this usually ends up being incredibly arbitrary with wildly different point scores for similar lengths of time spent reading. In order to finish the assignment set by your teacher you will need to reach a certain amount of points, decided by the teacher, typically 300SRP (Sparx Reader Points). This leads you to spending ~30 minutes performing stop/start reading that has little benefit on development of your vocabulary and is very low quality reading. Again, this is detrimental to Sparx Reader's ultimate goal of getting Children and teenagers to read. All in all, this site is a net negative not just for its failure to get Adolescents to read but also because of the fact that it actively pushes people away from engaging in books, English and Education websites as a whole.

I just started being forced to use this app today and already knew it would be shit. I cant even begin to explain how awful every single sparx app is. It makes you so stressed, questions your sanity, doesnt help with knowledge or comprehension whatsoever, pisses you off, makes you despise reading, is waste of time AND MORE!!!!! The entire Sparx company is incredibly shitty and needs to be taken off of the school curriculum IMEDIATELY!!!!! Wish I could rate it in the negatives. Awful, Absolutely awful.

it littrealy dosent help u wat one book but i wont come up it wont allow you to choose a book in the oppotions but instead you have optoins to pick and most of the optoins hsve some short books

If it was possible I would rate it lower than zero. This is utter crap. Get rid of it

very poopy need to read very poopy books to gain 300 srp i get 1 srp for every 100 paragraphs
