Spanish with Paul is effective but.....
After trying to teach myself Spanish for 25 years and only succeeding to learn a lot of vocabulary, I decided to invest money and time to Spanish with Paul. Admittedly, I have learned a great deal as I do enjoy his method of delivery. He does a good job of presenting a "building block" method of learning the basics of conjugation, agreement, etc. but do not expect to learn conversational skills, as there are no modules where you interact conversationally. Another heads up is that when he presents drills or questions as to how to translate a word or phrase, be ready to hit pause as he does not give you much time to think it through. I believe this would be very annoying if you choose to only listen to the course while driving and listening to cds. My BIGGEST COMPLAINT concerning Paul is that in all of his promotional materials for any and all of his courses, he claims that he will be personally available to answer questions or concerns. This is a blatant lie according to my experience as I sent emails with questions that I would normally ask in a regular classroom setting and have never received a single response from him. Be assured that you will receive regular promotional emails for other courses of his so apparently the email lines do reach Playa del Carmen.
