Our cabin was RAT INFESTED. We had to leave at 3am to drive home. Our food was eaten through by the rats & contaminated & this horrible company will not reimburse us for it!! Beware!!

We are sincerely sorry that your stay at Hothouse Hideaway ended this way. Discovering evidence of rodents in the kitchen, having concerns about the safety of your groceries, and ultimately leaving the cabin during the night was understandably upsetting and is not the experience we want any guest to have. We do want to respectfully clarify the full amount of your reservation was reimbursed through the chargeback that was filed and accepted. Because the entire reservation amount was returned through that process, we were unable to issue an additional refund beyond the full reimbursement already received. That does not diminish the seriousness of what you experienced. We took your report and the photos you provided seriously, and the concerns at the property were addressed. We are genuinely sorry that this disrupted a getaway you had planned and looked forward to enjoying. We understand that receiving the full cost of your stay back does not erase the frustration or inconvenience of what happened, and we regret that this was your experience with Southern Comfort Cabin Rentals. Thank you for bringing the condition of the home to our attention and allowing us the opportunity to address it.

Thank you so much for the wonderful review! We’re so happy you loved the cabin and felt well taken care of during your stay. We’re just as excited to welcome you back for the winter season—there’s something truly special about a cozy mountain getaway that time of year. We can’t wait to have you back!

It was nice but the camper portion of the cabin didn't have lots of kitchen items to cook with. Example, pots/skillets. The cabin was cool how they designed it. Very quiet spot, down at the end of the road. No coffee pods but I brought my own!

Thank you for sharing your experience with us! We’re glad you enjoyed the unique design of the cabin and the quiet, peaceful location. We also really appreciate you pointing out the limited cookware and missing coffee pods. Those little details can make a big difference when settling in and enjoying a getaway, and we’ll be taking a closer look at the kitchen setup to make sure it’s better equipped for future stays. We’re grateful you chose to stay with us and appreciate the helpful feedback. We hope we’ll have the opportunity to welcome you back for an even better experience next time!

We had a wonderful stay in a clean cabin right on the river! The booking process was easy and southern comfort was very attentive, so much that they left a kind card for us and some sweet treats in the kitchen. We can’t wait to come back and will absolutely use southern comfort any time we come that way!

Thank you so much for sharing such kind words! We’re thrilled you had a wonderful stay and enjoyed the peaceful riverfront setting. It makes us especially happy to hear that the little touches, like the card and sweet treats, helped make your visit feel special. Creating those moments is one of our favorite parts of hospitality! Knowing you’re already looking forward to coming back means so much to our entire team. We truly appreciate your trust in Southern Comfort Cabin Rentals and can’t wait to welcome you back to the mountains for another memorable stay!
