We recently booked a 12-day tour of Peru, Iguazu Falls and Rio de Janeiro with South America Travel and had a fantastic time. In Peru, we did a 1-day city tour of Lima, followed by 3 days in Cusco and Sacred Valley that included a once-in-a-lifetime tour of Machu Picchu which was breathtaking. Following that, we did a one day excursion in Iguazu Falls, Argentina, followed by a half-day tour of the Falls from the Brazil side, where we were treated to truly stunning views of the Argentina Falls. Our tour ended with a 3-day stop in Rio de Janeiro, a truly amazing city. Clara, the lady who arranged our tour and itinerary was fantastic. She was a great communicator and listened to what we wanted and added some customization to the pre-made tour. She was also very responsive to our questions and e-mails. The local tour guides in Peru and Iguazu Falls were fantastic and the hotels were good. The only hotel we didn't like was Hotel San Blas in Lima, but we were only there for two nights, so it was not a big deal. The hotel in Rio de Janeiro right by Copacabana Beach was fantastic. Our only complaint on this tour was the local tour operators in Rio de Janeiro. For our full-day city tour, the company picked us up 45 minutes late. We're pretty easy going and understanding people and usually think a 15-minute grace period is understandable, but 45 minutes is really unreasonable. We also booked a favela tour the day after and the tour company got the dates wrong and didn't pick us up. We were sitting in the lobby for an hour and by that time had lost all our patience. But alas, our complaints are very minor compared to the fantastic and memorable experience we had. We would absolutely want to go back to South America one day and would not hesitate to arrange with South America Travel again.

Marci made it a pleasant and stress free experience to book my travel arrangements to South America. All questions were responded to in a timely manner with good suggestions for alternatives given.

We have recently booked a trip that includes the Galapagos and Peru scheduled for Spring 2016. I had provided Christina, our travel adviser, with the list of places that we wanted to visit and she put together an itinerary that, after some changes and refinements, became the final one. During the whole process, Christina came across as knowledgeable, caring for our needs, and extremely responsive. We now look forward to a great tour of the exciting places in our itinerary and to a positive review of SouthAmerica.travel upon our return.

Made our trip to Brazil much less stressful. Created a personalized travel itinerary per our needs. Guides were on time for all transfers and did a great job.

My 1st time to use South America.Travel is excellent. Adam was instrumental in ensuring our tailor made tour was 'what we wanted'. His knowledge and professionalism are commendable. Izabela took over with the booking process and she like Adam, has been responding via emails in a timely manner and is patient with our requests, audit checks and with accurate data on the tour and invoiced amounts. Your past reviews were impressive. We hope to have similar experiences once we commence on November 12th 2015. So far, so good!

I want to show my appreciation to South America travel and their wonderful agent Marci Koltonuk, who was an absolute pleasure to deal with. This was the first trip to South America for me and my wife so we did not know what to expect. We had a general idea of what we wanted to do and see. Marci listened to us and customized a trip to do just as we had requested. She was thorough and responded very quickly to every question we had. From the day we arrived in Quito to the departure from Cuenca everything was just as scheduled. All the guides we had were prompt and such a pleasure to interact with. Everything was just wonderful. There is no way I could have planned such an organized itinerary for multiple cities, guided tours, hotels, and transportation that all worked flawlessly. I think I might have created some interest from one of my friends who after hearing my experience is expressing some interest in also planning such a trip. It is an adventure we will never forget and have no regret with any part of it. Thanks.
