Silencing 4-inch Diameter PVC Piping for Waste Water We had good success in soundproofing a 4-inch waste water PVC pipe that descended from the 3rd-floor and transmitted noise to a first-floor bedroom. The quiet wrap could not be applied around the pipe that contacted sheet rock; so, we wedged sound proofing foam without adhesive between with good results. M&M

The barrier really helped a lot!

In the description of the quiet batt 30 that I purchased it does say fits 16" and 24" spacing. However in other parts of the description it says batts are 16" x 8'. The batts are only 15" wide if that. You would think that they would need to fit snug to be effective. If joist spacing is off by as little as a1/2" they won't be snug and probably not very effective. Company needs to clarify sizing and whether they need to fit snugly between framing members.

My condo is so cheaply made that even with the sound proofing put on the floor I can still hear. It does cut it down about 50% and makes my floors feel solid. I put pergo floors on top of the sound proofing material. I plan on dong rest of condo soon.

Soundproof Cow responded to my online inquiry reasonably fast, (although two different sales reps were contacting me independently of the other.) They gave good advice and helped me pick the right product. They did a fine job.

Phone support was great. Products are great. I just have some left overs that I need to return (hopefully they are accepted).

Thank you for the wonderful feedback! We do except returns that are full product pieces. If your return is under the 30 day return time frame you will NOT be charged a restocking fee. You would still need to arrange shipping back to our Chambersburg, PA location for the return. Please call 1-866-949-9269 to speak with an account manager to setup a return merchandise authorization. Thank you for purchasing materials from Soundproof Cow!
