TERRIBLE. I am literally 1000% positive the person who gave me a massage today had never given a massage before AND had never RECEIVED a massage before. I would have ended it after one minute, but didn't feel comfortable starting an uncomfortable confrontation with a stranger alone in my apartment. This is now the THIRD TERRIBLE experience I have had with this company. I loved the idea of it, so I bought a 3-pack on Gilt without doing my homework. The first was passable. The second 2 were TERRIBLE - so I called to complain and they gave me this third one for free, which was literally a joke. Soothe is truly awful. I now know they let anyone be a masseuse for them, even if they have never given a massage before in their life. My response to "christopher" - I tried that already and you gave me this complimentary massage, which was not a massage at all. I want my money back and my wasted time staring at the floor nearly in tears back. Thanks.

Terrible experience!!! I've booked a massage the very first time. I have a 3 month baby and have no time for miself ever. I've arrange someone to watch the baby and guess what - massagist canceled appointment 10 minutes before!!!! She simply did not plan her time properly and realized that she will be very late. She called to say that she will be late and said that she did plan carefuly her time in traffic. WhenI tolled her that I only have this hour, she called her superviser - and LIED that she got a flat tire!. Terrible experience!!!! If you what a good service - go to your trusted spa salon.

Use caution when allowing this company to send a therapist to your home. They will take zero responsibility for anything that happens. I have been spending almost two months with "upper management" trying to get them to take some responsibility for a lost necklace. They had me go as far as filing a police report and now are just dragging me along. I can only imagine if something more serious had occurred.

I booked a massage with soothe. They sent a therapist with the same name as the Blind Sheik terrorist mastermind. I called customer service to cancel and was essentially told that I was a bigot because I was concerned for the safety of my family. I explained that it was not a racial issue, and that Al Capone would also have been an issue. Anyone who does not have the decency to at least use a professional name that is not associated with a famous mass murderer is not welcome anywhere near my family. When I sent an email to customer service to give them a chance to rectify the situation, they responded that I am banned from using soothe as their company does not do business with people who discriminate. _------------------ Dear Soothe, today I booked an appointment about 45 minutes from the time of booking. I was pleasantly surprised when booking was confirmed within 10 minutes or so. Nicely done. My wife went to check the details and freaked when she saw the name. The therapist was using the same name as the blind sheik, a terrorist mastermind. Security is a real concern for us in this day and age. Our kids don't even go play in the park alone like we did as children. Letting someone into our home named after a terrorist mastermind is simply unnacceptable. I also wouldn't let in a Mao Zedung or Stalin unless they had the decency and sensitivity to use a business alias. When I called customer service, they said that they do not discriminate against groups or nationalities. I am not asking you to ban everyone named Juan or Pedro. Just don't invite CIA/FBI most wanted list names into my home. Or famous mass murderers. If the band better than Ezra goes on a killing spree, I will change both my professional handle and my email address. To the credit of your supervisors at the call center your agent did relent and allow a full cancellation. She also was extremely pleasant until I "discriminated". We have a zero tolerance when it comes to discrimination against our clients as well as our therapist. The service we offer is not to harm anyone it is a luxury of being able to relax in the comfort of your own home and having a licensed and backgrounded checked therapist accommodate your request. Many massage companies you are not able to enjoy your experience because after your massage is done you then have to drive home which does allow you to take full advantage of the service. We here at Soothe have never had any of our therapists harm our clients and vise verse. I do apologize we will be unable to pursue or extend any further appointments to you at this time due to your opinion that was voiced in this email as well as our therapist being turned around. This issue has been forwarded to our trust and safety department as well as leadership and someone will reach out if you would like to explain more in detail our company policies and well as assurance when it comes down to the employees. My mother got me a couples massage for 60 minutes. She paid $200, which I assume was a promotional rate. When we went to book it, the price for a couples massage was $278 + HST. Why would they have a gift certificate that doesn't cover the cost of the gift? I presume something to do with Canada/US exchange so my Mother didn't know she wasn't paying for the whole thing. I decided to have a 90 min massage. The receipt they sent me was only for the additional $5 I was charged, not the full cost of the massage. How can that be provided to the insurer for massage therapists? When I asked them to re-issue for the full amount that was actually paid, they said they couldn't. Which is ridiculous; of course they can. Follow up: Soothe's concierge subsequently in essence accused me of attempting to defraud my insurer because someone else paid for the massage, I forwarded these emails to Christopher and no response. So anyone thinking of getting a gift certificate/credit for someone else - don't. Or anyone who expects actual customer assistance, be prepared to be attacked versus helped. Just FYI for anyone reading, this is the first public review I've ever posted about anything; that's how bad this has been. The company should be ashamed.

First time using Soothe service and most likely my last. The lady called explaining that she had eye surgery so she cannot drive her vehicle. Called customer service who explained that one will show up and can do back to back. Sorry we paid for couples massage not back to back. Booked a hotel room for this purpose all to be a waist of time on my birthday weekend. Very inconsiderate!

The therapist never showed. Still waiting for a refund 2 months later.

I scheduled a couples massage early in the day for later that evening. Our appointment was scheduled at 7, but no one showed up. I received and email stating that they were lost and I needed to call soothe. I called, the first guy couldn't find me in the system at all, then talked to a girl named Tiffany. She mentioned that they had gone to my address and were told that they did not set and appointment, so they left. My neighborhood clearly displays all addresses!!!! They clearly went to the wrong house and then left. Soothe wasn't very appologetic and basically pointed blame at me. They tried to reschedule me for that night but they were unsuccessful. I later received a phone call that they couldnt schedule anyone and I would have to reschedule for another day. They didn't even appologize!!!!! I would NOT recommend this company nor will I book again.
