Basically what everyone else is saying about this joke of a company. I hope when we all come out of this they don't exist. Im trying to now go through my bank to get my money back. Will never ever book with this company again and looks like many others won't as well. Also writing emails to all the companies that list their bookings on their sites, airbnb, etc. Place needs to go under. I lost my job and need that money, NOW! To anyone reading this. Let's remember all of this when we come out of this. The sonders, the ruth chris', etc. We have the power to end this crap.

We will never book through Sonder again. When our event in Montreal was cancelled due to COVID19 13 days before our booking, Sonder refused to give us a refund or to give us a credit for the future. Other accommodations in Montreal that our friends booked through (not Sonder) were fully refunded. We had never heard of Sonder before finding them through Booking.com but we liked the look of the accommodations, the location and the price seemed good. We have used booking.com before and had great results. We wish we had never found Sonder.... Lesson learned - an expensive one.

don't return the money on cancellation only sonder credits that I won't be able to use

Horrible experience ... no customer service and only focused on revenue. We got caught up in the travel issues coming from Canada to the USA around Covid and they refused to consider any type of credit, refund etc. Wouldn't even talk about it.

Do not ever book with this joke of a company. I do not have time to list all the issues I had with these con artists. To summarize, we were evicted from our Sonder two days early by the Boston Fire Dept because of life-threateningly high levels of carbon dioxide. We were given minutes to grab our belongings and leave the unit immediately. Through this process, we did not have time to do a quick clean of the unit, and we left several belongings including tobacco and alcohol. There was very clear evidence that we cleaned the unit daily (neatly tied garbage bags by the garbage can) yet that did not detour Sonder from laying on an additional $200USD "smoking in the unit charge". Apparently finding UN-SMOKED tobacco means we were smoking in the unit. As I further pressed on with these delinquents they morphed the charge into a "cleaning charge" because the unit had not been cleaned. Which of course, we did not have time to do given the circumstances. We booked them through Expedia. They should be banned on all travel sites. I hope the company goes under because it is clear I am not the only one who has been gouged by these swindlers.

A very bad service by Sonder hotels. I couldn''t get a refund for a situation which doesn`t depend on me, where a large national conference was cancelled and I had to cancel my trip. I called to Sonder, but they didn't want to issue a refund. Importantly, I called them 12 days in advance! As I realized, the Sonder company has a very strict policy of no refund to customers for cancellations made within a window of 14 days. This is a very draconian policy. Every other normal hotel has 1-3 days in advance cancellation policy for a full refund, but definitely not 14 days. Please note that I called to Sonder 12 days in advance of the event. I lost about $1200 with them. This was a force majeure event, which doesn't depend on me and the company has to understand such situations and have it in their policy and be able to refund customers during such events, as unexpected cancellations due to national outbreaks. A very bad service by Sonder, never book a hotel via them, even if it looks cheaper! You are going to loose much more than you could safe.
