Sonder Park Amsterdam. Miserable experience. No amenities, not even a washing machine. Aircon timed off after two hours thus waking us at night. The staff was gruff and unbending. Not even toothpaste available. The clerk pointed down the street and says go to the supermarket. This is the worst hotel imaginable... Sonder is a fraud.

1. Violation of our privacy 2. False promise of full refund of the reservation. We recently had the opportunity to stay at Casa Tais | 1BR in Polanco, Mexico City. However, our experience at this hotel was plagued with issues regarding the privacy and security of our room, specifically regarding unauthorized access and false promises of a refund. During our first night in the assigned room, we noticed that the wardrobe frame was loosely attached to the wall, with exposed nails. In order to document the condition in which we found the room, we immediately reported this issue through the in-app chat on May 28th. The following day, when we opened the wardrobe door, it completely detached. Once again, we promptly reported this incident through the in-app chat and requested a room change. We were informed that a staff member needed to inspect the door in person. We explained that we couldn't wait for maintenance due to our schedule and committed to informing them when we were in the room. Unfortunately, upon our return the next day, we discovered that the maintenance staff had entered our room without our consent and made repairs to the wardrobe. This violation of our privacy and security was particularly concerning, as our valuable belongings were inside the room. We immediately expressed our concern to Moises Israel Velasco Saucedo, who eventually assigned us another room. We were relocated to Taman Condesa | 2BR in Condesa, Mexico City. Upon entering this new room on May 31st, we began settling in and noticed that the wardrobe door in the master bedroom was off its track. We promptly informed Moises about this inconvenience and requested that it be recorded as an incident. At that time, we informed him that we would be using the wardrobe in the secondary bedroom for the remainder of our stay. Approximately 15 minutes later, two Sonder employees arrived at the room to "resolve" the door issue. However, despite their efforts, along with the receptionist, they informed us that they were unable to repair it. We made it clear to the two Sonder employees that the door should be fixed upon check-out and reiterated our request to prevent unauthorized access to the room. Our concern escalated on the following day, June 1st, when, while we were in our room (my girlfriend was taking a shower), the same Sonder employee opened the door without authorization to offer the room to other tourists, as the system indicated it was unoccupied. This situation represented an even greater and deeply concerning risk that they could have entered when we were not present. We immediately reported this incident once again to Moises Israel Velasco Saucedo. Minutes later, Moises arrived at our room to apologize for the situation and offered us any form of compensation we desired. We accepted the offer of a full refund (MXN 7,117.52) for the reservation, to which Moises agreed. Additionally, a new access code was provided to prevent any unauthorized entry in the future. However, our disappointment grew on the following day, June 2nd, when we discovered that the wardrobe door in the master bedroom had been repaired again without our consent. This third violation of our privacy and security within such a short period of time raised significant concerns and led us to the decision to leave the hotel for safety reasons. Before departing, we once again requested the full refund that Moises had promised us. Unfortunately, Moises changed his position and informed us that only a partial refund applied. To date, we are still awaiting the refund of MXN 2,425.11 to our credit card. These false promises had a significant impact on our vacation experience. The time and effort we spent trying to resolve the wardrobe issues resulted in a substantial loss of time, depriving us of two valuable days of our vacation. It is extremely frustrating to invest time and energy in resolving problems that could have been avoided if the hotel had fulfilled its commitments and ensured a safe and comfortable environment from the beginning.

If I could give this a 0.0005 of a review I would. They take your money without verifying anything. So if you travel across country, you and your family may have to sleep in the car if something goes wrong. Then they charge an incidental hold almost equivalent to your rental...yes, seriously. The place that we stayed in Washington DC was terrible. Although we needed an early check in the cleaning crew had not cleaned the unit which delayed us for about an hour when time was of the essence for us. There was loud humming at night which prevented sleep. Even though they left ear plugs smh, they didnt point out that earplugs would be needed. The door would not fully lock and the latch appeared to have been broken into as it was barely hanging on the door. Very unsafe, it certainly could not keep anyone out. Then there was an issue with Parking that causes you to have to pay almost $40 daily if you go through their recommended company. Luckily, the parking attendant out back worked with us on pricing. Lastly..... I had to CALL THEM to get my deposit back for the incidentals. Avoid them at all costs, its not worth it. You will literally be paying someone to upset the hell out of you.

We had a lot of problems checking into The Arcadian in Brookline, MA last Saturday but the biggest problem was with my room TH213 in the bathroom. The cold and HOT faucets are backwards from all the standards. Normally the handle on the left side of the sink is for HOT and the one on the right side is for Cold water. In this room they are reversed. Someone could get burned by thinking they are turning on the cold water and then reach down and get burned from Very Hot Water coming out. The check in process was very poor and took for ever. The app did not work and the clerk kept telling us to use the app. It was a mess.

Their tech support was unable to activate my account. Terrible tech support for an app-based company.

Bait and switch. Booked one room and them given a subpar replacement. Staff lied and said that Expedia made the error. Couldn't find another hotel. Ruined our weekend.
