Their subsidiary Twinespot owes a lot of people a lot of money. They simply shut it down and the CEO Manan Singh completely ghosted us. Avoid like the plague, they could be gone any second.
LATER EDIT: They reported this review saying it's for another company. How low can you stoop? Pay people what they're owed instead of trying to hide things under the rug.
Second Edit: now they say they have nothing to do with Twinspot. But it literally says so on their website, just google "solarsesame twinespot" and there is a job posting that says "About SolarSesame (division of TwineSpot Inc.)"
Why do you continue lying?
DO NOT BUY SOLAR FROM THIS COMPANY AS THEY MAY ONE DAY DISAPPEAR AND LEAVE YOU HANGING

Hi D. John, we take all feedback seriously, but after a thorough review we have no record of any customer — past or present — with your name, nor any project matching the details in your post.
SolarSesame is a licensed residential solar installation company operating exclusively in California. Your profile indicates you are located outside the United States, so it would not be possible for us to have completed a project for you.
If you believe this review was posted in error or is meant for another business, please feel free to contact us directly at [email protected] so we can clarify any confusion.
SolarSesame is committed to transparency, integrity, and customer service. We welcome genuine feedback from verified customers and are always available to address any real concerns.
Update:
Since our initial response, the reviewer has provided contact details for verification. After reviewing this information, we can confirm that it does not correspond to any SolarSesame customer, project, or service address in California.
Specifically, the reviewer provided:
1) A name that does not appear in our CRM or permitting records and differs from the name used to submit this review.
2) An email address with no record of prior communication with our company.
3) A non-U.S. phone number (starting with +40), despite SolarSesame operating and installing exclusively within California.
We again invite the reviewer to respond publicly with the California service address where SolarSesame allegedly performed a residential solar installation, along with photos of the work completed, so we can properly investigate. To date, no such information has been provided.
We remain open to addressing legitimate, verifiable customer concerns; however, we are unable to substantiate anonymous or unverified claims.

In Solare hell with Solar Sesame
They installed all panels in December 2024 and didn't turn on the power until April 23, 2025. They did not turn the power on correctly, and my PG&E bill is almost $800. I have been going nuts trying to resolve this, and all I get are empty promises with no results. I sent the owner a long email explaining all the problems his company is causing me, and he didn't reply. I am in SOLAR HELL

Stay Far away from this company
If you are considering a Solar System, take my advise and avoid SolarSesame like the plague.
TLDR: STAY FAR FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY THAT OUTRIGHT LIES TO YOU ABOUT WHAT THEY HAVE IN STOCK AND HAS A VERY RUDE SALES MANAGER.
For your reading pleasure:
It all started when I received a sales call from SolarSesame on October 8th 2024. Totally my fault. here. I should have taken the first warning that the "sales rep" was from someone located in the Philippines, I could hear the roosters and all. So I thought to myself, since i was already shopping for solar, I might as well see what they had to offer since they did say they had Two Tesla Power Wall 3s in their warehouse and that's what I wanted. I didn't believe that they had it but I entertained their offer to me just to see what would happen.
So I provide my information and send along my PG&E usage etc., par for the course. The next day Oct 10, 2024, a sales person named Preslav arrived at my door. First thing he said to me, he says, "well do you want solar or not?" I bit puzzled, I welcomed him in to my house and he proceeds to go through the details. All on a piece of paper. I asked about the Tesla batteries and he guaranteed that he had two in stock, in his warehouse but I had to sign the deal that day.
I proceed to ask him about California rebates such as the SGIP program and Property Tax assessments to which he had absolutely no clue about. He had to call his "District Manager" named Dennis who apparently lives in Florida. So we got Dennis on the phone and apparently, this so called District Manager doesn't know either and kept telling me that the SGIP program is for low income homes. This is not true. I told him that wasn't the case and he proceeded to cut me off and say, "look, I'm working on 5000 contracts and you can't expect me to remember all these small California rebates. If you lose your attitude, I may have given you a better deal" and hung up. I'm shocked at this moment so I end the call.
All he had to do was google it instead of being a know it all. A quick google search and you'll learn that Any residential customer of PG&E
is eligible for a General Market SGIP rebate of approximately 25% of the cost of an average energy storage system
Minutes later, I get a call from the owner of SolarSesame named Manan. He apologizes and gives me the whole speech about how sorry he is and he's going to talk to Dennis, blah blah blah.
So, I told Manan, I'd work with him on this project but he would need to assure me that he did indeed have the Tesla Power Wall 3 On Hand. Manan assured me and promised me that he had two in his warehouse and that he was saving me one. All I needed to do was sign the contract and pay the $1000 deposit.
I told him I'm ready to sign but I had a few more questions. (See Screenshots of my text message exchange with Manan). I asked him if he had a physical office in San Mateo and whether or not his crew was indeed his team and not sub contractors. He did tell me that he does have an office at 400 Concar Drive San Mateo CA 94402 but note, this is a WeWork space, it is not their own office. He never answered me about his installers and whether or not they are in house or sub contractors. Instead, he replies with this:
"Hi Rich, I just checked with our warehouse team regarding the Powerwall, and it turns out that we had to allocate the last available unit to an existing customer who needed an extra one for their installation. As a policy, we need to prioritize fulfilling commitments to our current customers. I'm sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.
Perhaps I asked too many questions and he couldn't answer them so that scared him off from doing business with me? I guess I'll never know.
But remember, didn't Manan say he had two Powerwall 3s on hand? (See text screenshot).
I did ask but never got a response from Manan. That goes to show, something is definitely fishy with this company.
Many red flags. I should have known and I totally accept responsibility but glad I had this exchange with this shady company because now I'm a bit more educated and know what to look for. And, just to add, he was selling me some solar panels that are supposedly discontinued. I asked him about it but he insisted that they are not. I did look into it and they are in fact, discontinued. Lie after lie. Absolutely unbelievable.
Stay away from this company. In the end, you get what you pay for and when dealing with Solar it s a big investment for the next 25 years so it's best to just pay a little more to a company that knows what they are talking about, well educated about all the California Rebates and a company that won't sell you wolf tickets.
Dealing with SolarSesame has been a complete waste of time for me but I've learned a great deal from this experience. Just my 2 cents and had to share my experience.

FAILURES!!!!!!
Update September 5th 2024 from July 30th 2024 Just got a call from my local Rep that came by to buy from this company. Apparently they are ghosting them and pulled out of Texas. BUYERS BEWARE!! Left me hanging with false promises.
Response from SolarSesameSep 6, 2024
Michael, thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We sincerely apologize for the situation and any frustration or confusion it has caused. We understand how disappointing this experience must be for you.
We want to clarify that our recent exit from Texas was due to unforeseen circumstances, including the unfortunate bankruptcy of our equipment and financing partner, SunPower. This decision was made to avoid long-term issues that could arise from their inability to support your system. While this change came suddenly, we should have communicated with you more clearly, and for that, we truly apologize.
Please rest assured that you will not be charged for any services or equipment. We take full responsibility for the disruption, and our priority remains ensuring that you are not left with any financial obligations.
We are truly sorry for the inconvenience, and if you have any further concerns or need assistance, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us at [email protected]. Thank you again for your patience and understanding.

How do I do negative stars…so bad that…
How do I do negative stars…so bad that I’m willing to take the time to leave a review. What an absolute dog S**** show. The worst experience ever and you couldn’t pay me to do this again. ABSOLUTELY ZERO COMMUNICATION. Salesman basically tried to scam me after I signed documents by upping the price of the battery when the numbers had already been established and signed because of the screw up between solar seasame, the financing company Sunnova and the installer. Then absolute no communication from the project manager between him myself and any of the other companies utilized in this process. Now there are solar panels installed on my house in an incorrect layout as opposed to the layout
Revision that I signed which apparently now this company has no oversight of this and it’s on the financial company Sunnova who has also had next to no communication with me or with solar seasame. All of a sudden I find out from the salesman he no longer works here from his direct number rather than an informing call because the project manager was useless as a box of rocks. This mattered because I had to go out of my way to talk to him to find out anything about this project in the 6 plus months it took to have anything happen. Now that solar seasame apparently “no longer operates in north Florida” (from the salesman) I had absolutely zero luck with any contact information on solar seasame site to even get ahold of them. So now my project is lingering with again zero knowledge on what is even the plan of action to get this fixed. Would not recommend any day of the year. Not worth it an absolute terrible experience with an absolute worse company.
If you give me contact information I can reach out for further Information.
