Honest Feedback on Solar Reviews' Lead…
Honest Feedback on Solar Reviews' Lead Generation Service As the president of a growing solar installation company, I have had the opportunity to work with Solar Reviews for lead generation. Overall, their service delivers decent-quality leads, which has been beneficial to our business in many ways. However, there are some areas of concern that have led me to approach our ongoing partnership with caution. Firstly, while their leads can be useful, the company tends to be defensive if you question the quality of the leads. They claim that they have robust quality control systems in place, which may be true to some extent. However, when you encounter leads that clearly have little to no chance of converting—such as customers with no available roof space, excessive shading, or other disqualifying factors—they can be difficult to address. The person leading the charge on this, Jamie, who is the main point of contact for many vendors, often presents every possible objection to deflect responsibility. It's a frustrating experience, as it feels like you're always in the wrong when trying to discuss the quality of a lead. A significant issue I’ve encountered is with their practice of distributing leads to multiple companies, sometimes as many as three or four. At $165+ per lead, this becomes a costly proposition, especially when the leads themselves are suboptimal. In my opinion, the company could afford to scrap these lower-quality leads and maintain a better standard of service, but they continue to sell them as viable prospects. This is a clear area where Solar Reviews could improve by being more selective and honest about the quality of the leads they sell. That being said, I’m not trying to disparage Solar Reviews entirely. They do provide quality leads on occasion, and their platform can serve as a valuable tool for those who are willing to put in the work. However, it is evident that the company prioritizes profit over partnership, often taking a more transactional approach rather than truly working with businesses to ensure success. Their customer support, particularly in terms of guidance on how to maximize the potential of leads, is minimal at best. It feels as though, once they’ve secured your payment, they’re more focused on moving on to the next sale than helping you succeed in converting leads. If you're a solar business with an experienced sales team and a strong marketing strategy, Solar Reviews could be a worthwhile investment. However, if you're struggling with sales or have a less-experienced team, I would caution against spending money here. The support and lead quality may not justify the cost, and their business model does lean heavily on nickel-and-diming companies rather than providing genuine value. In summary, while Solar Reviews offers some potential, especially for larger companies with the capacity to filter out subpar leads, I would encourage any potential client to carefully consider whether the investment is truly worth it for their specific needs. Remember they are as GREEDY if not MORE GREEDY than some solar companies.
