I have been waiting on warranty to replace 2 screwdrivers for over a year, the $500 cordless ratchet i purchased broke within 1 year, the snap on truck driver (Ryan Mickleson in the black hills of SD) took said ratchet over a year ago and has yet to repair or replace and he hasnt stopped at our shop in 6 months, probably because everyone here quit buying anything from him because he is a horrible rep. Harbor freight has a significantly easier warranty process and replaces my tools same day every time. Snap on is the same quality with about a 1000% markup for price. STAY AWAY FROM SNAPOFF TOOLS!

Outrageous Repair Charges
I've been a loyal Snap-On customer for years, but today was the last straw! I sent in a drill in for repair/replacement of a new 3/8" chuck that was faulty. I never receive an estimate of costs, but they are usually acceptable. The cost today was $168.00 for $25 part on a $130.00 drill! Never again Snap-On! As all my tools die, they will be replaced with DeWalt or Milwaukee! You lost a good customer today, hope it was worth it!

Rubbish communication
Rubbish communication, follow up, whilst they offer a good warranty period that is where the service ends.

Customer service is set up in the most…
Customer service is set up in the most ineffective, frustrating manner. You don't get to maintain a thread with any one rep...you have to start over every time you reply to an email reply they send. It becomes very obvious that the new rep, replying to you, did not take the time to review the previous messages...and so...you end looping back through any number of the already provided info... It's absolutely freakin' crazy that they would ask any question, knowing that your reply will very likely not reach them.
On top of that...they don't seem to have any sort of efficacy in the system they use to identify replacement parts. They've just been mostly guessing...for several months now... as to which drawer slides to send me and they still haven't figured it out, despite my sending pictures of them, measurements, manufacturer info, written, detailed descriptions, etc....
They also have been disregarding my requests for some touch-up paint to cover up the areas which they missed, back at the factory...ya know...those interior areas that ya wouldn't see unless you actually fully remove the drawers...
...Apparently it's not considered a manufacturing defect to have failed to coat the entire box with paint‽
Oh!...and that'll be $40 for a 12 oz spray can...that I bet doesn't go as far as you'd certainly hope it would.
Do your research folks!...This is no longer a company with prices that match their quality...they've gone from astronomical, to just flat out retahded.

My son was 18 years and 1 day old when…
My son was 18 years and 1 day old when a Snap On representative decided it was a great time to sign him up for a credit card.
The pitch? "No fees, no interest unless you use it. Just keep it in a drawer for emergencies."
Because apparently the first thing a teenager needs upon reaching adulthood is access to credit they never asked for.
He wasn't given a copy of what he signed, wasn't encouraged to go away and read the details, and was simply told to wait for the card to arrive.
I've got no issue with Snap On selling quality tools. What I do have an issue with is salespeople targeting young apprentices who are eager to fit in, trusting of experienced tradespeople, and unlikely to fully appreciate what they're signing up for.
An 18 year old apprentice isn't someone to pressure into taking a financial product "just in case" to bump your commission.
This reminds me of the white van your mum warned you about as a kid, the one where they try coax you inside with lollies, predatory.
If the product is so great, give young people the information, the paperwork, and the time to make an informed decision. If they're still interested, they'll come back.
Disappointed isn't a strong enough word. My son walked away thinking he'd been looked after, immediately called his family worried he'd signed his life away. I walked away thinking far too many things that aren't appropriate for this forum and just see a dirty money hungry predator. The timing is so precise it borders on stalker behaviour. One day he's a kid, the next day he's a sales target.
Do better, Snap On

I’ve been a loyal Snap-on customer for…
I’ve been a loyal Snap-on customer for many years, investing thousands of dollars into tools because I believed in the quality and the service that was supposed to come with the brand. Unfortunately, my recent experience with customer service and management has seriously shaken that trust.
I reached out for client assistance regarding an issue that should have been straightforward to resolve, but instead of receiving the support I expected, I was met with indifference and a lack of accountability. All the broken tools were sent back, and they requested proof of purchase, WTF I've never heard this request for a professional tool user, The manager I dealt with seemed more interested in dismissing my concerns than actually helping to find a solution. As a long-time customer, that was incredibly disappointing.
What makes this worse is that Snap-on has always marketed itself as a company that stands behind its products and values its professional customers. That hasn’t been my experience lately. There was no effort to go above and beyond, no attempt to retain my business, and no recognition of the loyalty I’ve shown over the years.
At this point, I’m seriously reconsidering where I spend my money. Quality tools are important, but so is customer service—and right now, that’s where Snap-on is falling short.
I hope the company takes feedback like this seriously and works on improving how management handles long-standing customers, because this experience did not reflect the brand I once trusted.
