Smokey Ridge sit way up on the mountain with a beyond steep drive. That was a little scared. When we finally got to the top. We had no trouble getting inside with our key code. You ur immediate impression was disappointing. When we walked in the first thing we noticed was a tare in the carpet right at the front door. The carpet was really in poor condition in the living room. Then we noticed that the coffee table was broken. That was a little upsetting. I have to say, other than that the place was great. We so enjoyed the side porch and hot tub. We saw lots of turkeys and a bear. ( the bear was down the driveway) it was great! The rest of the house was very clean. Getting up and down the drive got much better with practice. All in all the only thing I really wish they would fix is the carpet and the coffee table. Stove, microwave, refrigerator, dishwasher, washer and dryer worked great. The mattresses were very firm but slept just fine. I would stay there again.

The washing machine did not work the entire stay. Was promised repairman. Never showed up. Ended up having to go to office to get more towels. Also dishwasher did not work properly. The water stunk so we had to use bottle water to brush teeth and dreaded each day to have to take showers. Will not recommend to friends.

My husband and I stayed in Barefoot by the River for four nights. It was in a very secluded location and to get there you had to drive through wooded areas with steep winding roads. Because of the location, we had to get to our cabin every night before dark, so we didn't get to enjoy any activities that we otherwise would have. The front door had a picture window and there was no curtain or blind at the window, so we took the top sheet that was intended for the sofa bed and draped it over the window. The sofa bed was so old and dirty that we did not want to sit on it so we took the other bed sheet and put it on the couch before we would sit on it to watch TV. Both sheets were old and dingy, as was the blanket that was intended for the sofa bed. It was old and dirty with holes in it and a not so pleasant smell. The DVD player did not work properly. It played movies in black and white. The bathroom towels and face cloths were also old, dingy and stiff. I actually bought a couple of face cloths from the local Walmart. The cabin itself was nice and clean and had it not been for the things I just mentioned, it would have probably been a very pleasant experience. Obviously, this cabin has not been inspected in quite some time because there is no way anyone could overlook the condition of the couch and linen.

This is a great cabin but needs updates to make it abit modern and give it a superior feel. The kitchen appliances needs to be changed, the light fixtures also needs some modernization, the sofa and couch definitely needs changing. I love the fact that it's a pet friendly cabin but the current setup doesn't quite give it the character it could have. We did enjoy our stay there but the cabin needs some updates.

I WOULD HAVE LOVED TO HAVE HAD BETTER LIGHT AROUND THE CABIN ALSO THE FURISHING ARE A LITTLE OUTDATED AND MATRESS COULD USE UPGRADES THERE ARE NAILS OUT OF THE WALL GOING UP STAIRS AND I DID SCRAPE MY HAND BAD THE FIRST NIGHT AND BLEED ALLOT THE HOT TUB ALSO COULD USE SOME MAINTAINED is. The lights are dim and jets are not atrong..........other than that it was an amzing experience I love Gatlinburg and would stay again

The cabin itself was beautiful. But upon entering the cabin the carpets need redone, dirt, snags they just looked gross!. The lenoileium in the kitchen and bathrooms where also distasteful. You felt like you needed to walk around in socks. You pay all this money for it to be cleaned. And I can tell you that it diffently needed more TLC. There was a dirty plate left on top of the microwave. Two toothpicks on the floor in the bathroom which only indicated to me that floors were not cleaned. I think they must have whipped down the mirror with a towel because they where very smeared. I also wrote high on one so if they didn't clean it than the next person to rent this cabin would Aldo clean it. I also think they could have a decent skillet in the place, and maybe a real dish towel to clean the dishes instead of a bathroom towel, and maybe some pot holders. Oh and also the chair in the living room needs fixed I sat on it and fell to the floor because one of the front legs was not attached. And that pretty much sums it up.

We were told we had to wait til Jan. To book for May 2017 to receive discounts but we already chose the 6 days that would work for us & the cabin that we think will suit us. I would like to think you would apply a discount simply because we have taken the time to plan and book with your company for our chosen vacation stay for 2017! The fact that we have to wait and chance not getting what we planned is absurd and your company should think about that and maybe make changes to that.
