As parents of 1 y/o twins and a 3 y/o this gate is the best thing that has ever happened to us! One gate can be used in two directions, at a 90 degree angle. We have ours at the bottom of the stairs and can use one gate to either block the stairs off OR to corral our three kids in the living room. We are modifying our basement stairs so we can get another! Easy to open and close. Would be good to have a red color indicator on the popup lock so you can easily see if it is unlocked. Would probably not use this at the top of the stairs until something like that is added.
