Great purchase!
Pros: Extra wide- the only one we found that would fit our needs! See-through but kids can't put their arms through. Easy to do one-handed. Our 4 yo can open and close it but the babies can't. Cons: Price was more than we wanted to spend, but was totally worth it. We had to find some scrap wood and washers to get the attachment point just right because we have moulding near the floor. Overall a great purchase that I'd definitely recommend (and already have to many friends!).

Great gate!
Love these gates! Have them all over our house to corral our 2.5 year old, and give him expanded play area while keeping him out of unwanted areas

We love our retractable gate
We love our retractable gate. We have set it up on the bottom of our stairs so when the bebe is asleep (happens often these days) we can have it open. It's expensive compared to the hard gate we have at the top of our stairs, but didn't want something big and hard that swings out at the bottom of our stairs. Do recommend.
Response from Smart RetractOct 15, 2020
Hi Kenda—thanks for the wonderful 5-star review! Retract-A-Gate is certified for use at the top and bottom of the stairs, has been tested for that application, and can withstand a push out force of up to 200 pounds. We simply offer the best balance of features and security of any gate in its class. It is tempting to buy something cheaper, but the old adage of “you get what you pay for” is very true here as well. Thanks again for recommending us and please let us know if you ever have any questions. Deanna at Smart Retract.

Highly recommend
Very happy with this product! Looks great and worked well for our diagonal set up! Best part is that we don’t have to deal with climbing over a gate or taking down when baby is at daycare. Thank you!
