This was a very detailed introduction and training on a very scalable, flexible financial model. The class was presented in a very easy to follow, structured manner. The important part is the financial model, and you can tell that it works, integrating all aspects of a business to plan for the future and play with what if scenarios. Once I have this model set up, I can see it helping to guide future decisions. The course materials were a mix of recorded videos and live presentations that included students asking specific questions on their own models as they built them out. I was able to follow along very easily on both aspects. I feel this was a great introduction to a very useful model, and at a cost that is easy to handle for a small or starting business.

Amazing course that really breakdown the fundamentals of a model from a visual (macro) to a spreadsheet (micro). It gave me a perspective i didn't have before, and highly recommend any Founder/CEO/COO of any start up to take it. Super powerful

I was part of the first cohort (October 2023) of Slidebean's Financial Modelling Course and found it absolutely amazing. Caya, our instructor and one of the founders of Slidebean was engaging, down-to-earth and easy to follow. The course covered everything you need to know to be able to create your startup's detailed financial model and the best thing is that you get a fully linked spreadsheet where you only have to input your assumptions and the financial model is done for you! I highly recommend the course and the financial model templates!

NOTE: I am only reviewing Slidebean's week-long Financial Modeling Course. Slidebean offers an array of other products & services, many of which I have not tried, so please keep that in mind as you read along. Overall it was a good course. Their Financial Model template can be overwhelming for those who are not experienced in Finance, FP&A or Business Analysis, and this is a helpful course. What might be keeping it from being a great course is improving the pacing, prepping, and/or qualifying the people who have signed up for the course. If it going to be run 'crash-course'/'boot camp' style, (2 hours a day for 5 days, with 'homework') then I think that 'pre-work'/'pre-reading' should be assigned, and/or it should be made clear how many hours you should spend at a minimum outside of the class hours to get the most out of it, and/or there should be messaging about your assumed experience level with Google Sheets/Excel or modeling. Or, perhaps spread out the classes to allow for more time for concept absorption.

It was a great session, and good value for money. I will recommend it to any budding founder that wants to understand financial modelling
