Summary: Run as far away as you can. Never engage with them. Do not trust a single thing they say. Do private retirement if your company uses them. Positive: Absolutely nothing. The website, plan features, and engagement is worthless. There is truly not a single compliment I can give this company or platform. Negative: No written customer service, only being able to call during narrow hours and requiring to provide a LONG list of PII (far more than any other company I've ever encountered) before they'll do anything. They will not provide any support to actually help you, but only say what you can't do. There is no interest in doing the right thing. They engage in unethical auto-enrollment practices without employers being aware. Their fees are absolutely absurd and disgusting. Update to Slavic's response: My initial concerns and needs have been resolved. My complaints and concerns about their business practices and ethics remain, and it is telling that I had to escalate to public complaints to have resolution. To be clear, some of the refund requests were sent directly from the HR division, and Slavic had not consistently responded to them either. While I cannot completely confirm it, I believe the email misspelling was provided by a Slavic phone representative. They also never responded to my emailed responses they initiated (with the correct email address). Therefore, the final assessment they summarized is not entirely accurate.

Thank you for sharing your concerns. We appreciate the opportunity to review this matter and respond directly. Slavic401k conducted an internal review of the issues raised, including auto-enrollment notification, communication attempts, and the contribution correction request. Our review confirmed that enrollment occurred in accordance with the plan provisions established by the employer and that an enrollment notification was sent to the email address on file. We acknowledge that this notification may have been overlooked and understand how that contributed to confusion. During our investigation, we also identified that your initial email outreach did not reach our systems due to a misspelling of our email domain. As a result, those messages were not received or logged. Once contact was established, we clarified IRS 402(g) correction rules and addressed prior miscommunication. As a courtesy, the applicable processing fees were waived and a refund was processed and issued via expedited delivery at no cost. We regret the frustration caused by communication gaps, have escalated this feedback internally, and confirm that this matter has been resolved.

I just filed a lawsuit against this company and will be filing complaints with the SEC and all other regulatory agencies. Constant, evolving, suspicious hurdles for weeks on end. Had my identity verified by Plaid today, only to have Slavic advise that they still have concerns about my identity and refused to let me speak to a supervisor. I don't play games. We'll work it out in court. Don't put a nickel in this company, is my advice.

Like others I have nothing good to say I worked per diem for a short time for a company using this plan. I only have $127 in the account and they are charging me $75 to close it. What a scam. Terrible that companies would use a company like this, shows how little they care about employees.
Response from Slavic401kMay 20, 2025
We appreciate you taking the time to share your experience. We understand your concern and want to provide some clarity. The plan you were enrolled in was part of an automatic enrollment process, which is a standard practice designed to help employees begin saving for the future. Prior to an automatic enrollment becoming effective, detailed plan disclosures, including all applicable fees and the option to opt-out, were shared to ensure transparency. Participants have up to 90 days from their first contribution to opt-out and receive a full refund. When a distribution occurs after employment ends, a standard processing fee applies. This fee helps cover the cost of maintaining and closing the account and is consistent with practices across the industry. We truly regret any frustration this has caused and remain committed to supporting all participants with clear communication and fair practices. If you have any questions or would like to discuss your experience further, we’re here to help. Sincerely, Slavic401k Team

I no longer work at my former job. Unable to even get my money. I can't get logged in, because company has scrubbed my former info. So every attempt to log on comes up Invalid Credentials. Such bs. Such a harsh company in so many ways. Never work for Volante Senior Living, they are quite hostile to employees who speak out. I will try calling these people since my email didn't seem to get them going.
