Advertised AMD EPYC with dedicated CPU cores — delivered Intel Xeon with shared vCPUs
I returned to SkyNetHosting because I had a good experience with them years ago. This time, I ordered their Next-Gen NVMe VPS based on a product page that lists AMD EPYC 7443P under “Node Specifications” and says “Dedicated CPU cores.”
The VPS I received ran on an Intel Xeon E5-2695 v4. Support confirmed that the EPYC nodes were out of stock and that they had no estimated date for their return. They also explained that the physical CPU cores on the host may be shared between VPS customers, without clearly explaining how that fits the “Dedicated CPU cores” claim on the page.
Their offer of an extra 4 GB of RAM did not resolve the difference in processor. Responses to my technical questions took more than 24 hours. I eventually cancelled the VPS and received a full refund.
My concern remains that the product page continued to advertise AMD EPYC 7443P despite support confirming it was unavailable. I have screenshots of the page and their written replies. In my experience, the advertising was misleading, and I received a different VPS from the one I expected when I placed the order.

★☆☆☆☆ One of the Most Frustrating Hosting Experiences I've Had
I rarely leave negative reviews, but after months of frustration, I feel obligated to share my experience with SkyNet Hosting.
I joined SkyNet Hosting expecting reliable service and responsive support. Instead, I spent the majority of my time fighting for answers, waiting on tickets, and dealing with unresolved issues that ultimately forced me to move my entire hosting portfolio elsewhere.
I manage dozens of fan sites and was experiencing bot traffic hitting my galleries and databases. Rather than working with me to resolve the issue, I was actively implementing Cloudflare protections and security measures to stop the traffic myself. Despite these efforts, one of my sites was suspended. What made the situation even worse was that I was not provided a backup beforehand, leaving me scrambling to protect years of content.
After correcting my Cloudflare settings and moving the affected sites elsewhere, the problems stopped. This only reinforced my belief that the situation could have been handled cooperatively instead of forcing me into a full migration.
The biggest issue, however, was support.
Tickets would sit unanswered for days. I was repeatedly told that support was "backed up." I was promised responses within 1–2 hours, 2–3 hours, 24 hours, and "by the end of the day." Those deadlines consistently passed without any communication.
Whenever I reached out through live chat, agents were available to tell me to submit a ticket, yet the tickets themselves often received no meaningful response. It felt like I was stuck in an endless cycle of being redirected without ever receiving actual assistance.
I requested migration credentials and information needed to move my sites and was told someone would follow up. That follow-up never came. I repeatedly had to chase responses instead of receiving proactive communication.
Eventually, I lost confidence entirely and migrated all of my websites away from SkyNet Hosting. This involved countless hours of work, transferring data, rebuilding accounts, reconfiguring DNS, restoring databases, and ensuring everything functioned correctly on a new provider.
Even after moving my sites, the difficulties continued.
I submitted cancellation requests and refund requests. Instead of receiving confirmation that those requests were being processed, I continued receiving delayed responses, contradictory information, and even recommendations to upgrade to more expensive hosting plans. This was despite the fact that I had already stated multiple times that I was leaving and had moved my websites elsewhere.
At one point, I became so concerned about the lack of communication that I attempted to escalate my concerns outside normal support channels because I felt I had exhausted every available option.
What is most disappointing is that many of these problems were not technical problems—they were communication problems. Hosting issues happen. Servers have issues. Migrations have complications. What customers need during those moments is communication, accountability, and follow-through. Unfortunately, those were the areas where SkyNet consistently fell short in my experience.
I genuinely wanted this hosting relationship to work. I gave multiple opportunities for issues to be resolved and repeatedly expressed that I would stay if communication and support improved. Instead, I found myself spending more time chasing support than managing my websites.
Based on my experience, I cannot recommend SkyNet Hosting. The lack of timely support, repeated missed commitments, poor communication, and the amount of time and stress involved ultimately made continuing with the company impossible.
I sincerely hope the company improves its customer service processes because no customer should have to spend weeks fighting simply to receive responses, have tickets addressed, or process a cancellation request.
Response from SkyNetHosting.Net Inc.Jun 17, 2026
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. First and foremost, we sincerely apologize for the frustration and inconvenience you faced during this period.
We completely understand how disappointing it must have been to experience delays in support and communication while managing multiple websites and important data. While we recognize that this does not lessen the impact on your experience, we would like to provide some context.
The issues during this period were related to a global cPanel incident and were not caused by SkyNet Hosting's servers, network, or infrastructure. Our entire technical team was focused on working with the upstream providers and cPanel to restore services and minimize the impact on our customers as quickly as possible.
Unfortunately, the incident resulted in an exceptionally high volume of support tickets and live chats, which led to response delays that fell well below the standard of service we strive to provide. For that, we sincerely apologize. We understand that timely communication is just as important as resolving the technical issue itself.
We also recognize and respect your decision to migrate your services elsewhere. As a gesture of goodwill and in acknowledgment of your experience, we processed your refund request accordingly.
Your feedback regarding communication and support has been taken seriously and is being used to improve our internal processes so that we can better serve our customers during future large-scale incidents.
We genuinely appreciate the opportunity you gave us and are sorry that your experience did not reflect the level of service we aim to provide. We wish you nothing but success with your websites and thank you for having been a SkyNet Hosting customer.

Skynet Dropped the Ball
I was not going to pile on with a negative review of Skynet until I looked at Trustpilot and saw a flood of suspicious 5-star reviews. These appear to have been posted either by Skynet employees or by incentivized reviewers. The genuine feedback is reflected in the 1-star reviews from early May—when Skynet completely dropped the ball.
I rarely leave reviews, but this experience was unacceptable.
We used this company for reseller hosting, and their service went completely offline for nearly two full weeks without any prior notice. During that time, our business was effectively shut down. Our clients were continuously impacted, complaints piled up, and our team was unable to function at all due to total server unavailability.
What made matters worse was the complete lack of communication and accountability. There were no meaningful updates, no clear explanation of the issue, and no reliable ETA provided at any point. We were left entirely in the dark while our business suffered.
They advertise a 99.9% uptime guarantee, but a two-week outage is a blatant failure to deliver even basic reliability. This was not a minor disruption—it was a prolonged, business-critical failure that caused financial loss and damaged our reputation.
To make this even more concerning, we also maintain hosting with another provider, and their services remained fully operational during the same period. This clearly shows the issue was isolated to Skynet’s infrastructure, not an industry-wide event.
Ultimately, we were forced to migrate all of our services to another provider before our account was even restored. That alone speaks volumes about the level of service provided.
I strongly advise anyone considering this company—especially those running client websites or reseller operations—to look elsewhere. Reliability and communication are critical in this industry, and Skynet failed on both fronts.

THE WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE
I came to this server and only lost clients, wasted time, and got gray hairs. After 15 years as a reseller, this has been the worst experience of my entire life.
And I had the best VIP VPS plan!
Several times I was without service for a week. Many times, entire days.
The support service is THE SLOWEST ON THE FACE OF THE EARTH.
Even though their employees are very friendly, solutions are practically nonexistent.
Please do not hire services here.

Be careful before buying hosting…
Be careful before buying hosting services from SkyNetHosting. I purchased a reseller hosting package and later checked the server environment. Based on my findings, they appear to be using an unauthorized/cracked cPanel license, which is a serious security and legal concern.
Using cracked software can put customer data, server stability, and security at risk. Because of this experience, I would strongly advise others to verify their hosting provider properly before making a purchase.
