I would give 0 stars if I could. I have had 4 waxes there, only one was done correctly. All other waxes left behind hair, wax, and 2 waxers double dipped. Only one used hard wax at all. And they all try to upsell through the entire appointment. They often do not answer their phone, although they do respond to email within 24 hours. Front desk staff is nice and will make suggestions when asked. However- I tried to call twice to cancel an appointment, could not get through and no voicemail. I emailed but it was now less than 24 hours. For physical reasons beyond my control and completely unsanitary to getting waxed I requested to rebook appointment. They basically emailed back "sorry, but we have to charge you". I told them they were not authorized to charge my card but they did so anyway. Guess being a repeat customer who buys numerous waxes at once means nothing to them. Guess I should have just shown up and forced their employee to wax my very personal and private parts and just bled out all over her and the table- making her happy and the the customer behind me in for a real treat? But no- I get charged because they are inflexible and don't value a customer relation. That's ok. It is NYC. I will move on and get a better and more hygienic waxer in the process.

On a Friday I called to schedule an appointment for a Microdermabrasion and Customized Facial. I spoke with someone to set up the appointment and during the conversation we discussed pricing wherein they would honor a $90 promo for the service. I went ahead and scheduled the appointment for that Monday at noon. When I arrived I was greeted by a receptionist who was polite and had me fill out paperwork and asked if the service was prepaid I informed her no. The esthetician came out shortly thereafter and escorted me into the room. After the service was complete, I walked out to the reception desk and met with another receptionist who informed me the price was $135. I proceeded to tell her that when I made the appointment they told me $90. She told me I was misinformed and that I would have to pay the $135. I again explained to her that was not what I was told and that I would like to speak to a manager cause I would not pay that amount. She then proceeded to tell me that if I didn’t pay the full amount it would be considered stealing and that I would be a thief. I was absolutely mortified that this young lady was speaking to me like this as there were other patrons in the waiting room and the other receptionist was sitting right next to her. She then indicated that she could cut me a break and charge me $100. I told her I wanted to speak to a manager or a supervisor because I was done speaking to her. She then antagonized me saying that it was only a $10 difference what was the big deal - if $10 more was to much for me to handle. I explained to her it was not the $10 it was the principal of the matter. It was absolutely absurd and I could not even believe this is the way I was being spoken to at a Spa. My patience was wearing really thin at this point and I demanded to speak to a manager. She then informed me there was no manager to assist me. I then told her to charge me the $90 and to have a manager contact me for the difference. She then repeated to me that I would have to pay the full amount or that would be considered stealing. At this point I told her to get a manager on the phone because I was absolutely done speaking with her. I literally asked her over 10 times to speak to a manager. She finally got a manager on the phone who spoke with me and indicated that the pricing recently increased and that as a courtesy would honor the $90 plus tax. I told the manager that was fine and that I just wanted to leave because I was so upset with how I was being treated. It is absolutely crazy to me that I go to get a Spa treatment to unwind and relax and then to be completely demeaned and treated this way. I was more stressed out leaving the spa then when I arrived. It is completely unacceptable to treat people this way. It’s very unfortunate because I felt the esthetician did a phenomenal job. She was very thorough and attentive. I would of gladly paid for the service again but after being treated and spoken to in such a derogatory way I would never return to this location. I received a phone call from the manager the next day who was the person who set the apointment for me and offered me the pricing. He did apologize and acknowledge the incident.

I unfortunately had to cancel my facial and peel and I was put on hold for so long that I had to hang up and call back in the morning. But then it was a same day cancellation and I was charged. I didn't complain or cause a fuss, but I did tell the woman on the phone what happened and got no apology or acknowledgment of the unfortunate situation.

My facial was awful! she barely steamed my face and when she did extractons i had red cut marks for 10 days afterward.

I had a laser session with Brianna and it was horrible. From the moment she greeted me I knew she didn't want to do my service. When we got into the room she was very short with words and didn't seem interested. This was my first time seeing her and wanted to have a brief consultation so that she new what my issues were, she dismissed them all and even rolled her eyes at one point. She mentioned the color of my skin multiple times even turning down the light because of my skin color...I've been having laser treatments for a long time now so the light level has gradually gotten higher..not with her...she said she knew best... It was quite clear to me that she was racist and having a black client was not to her liking. I asked her to stop and have someone else finish. Maria came in and finished and she was lovely! At check out, I tried explaining all this to the manager, but he went on to defend her saying that he's never had any complaints against her before and usually all of her v=clients leave happy...I thought to myself, the must not be black because this girl is clearly racist. He even went on to tell me the story that she'd told him, saying I wanted her to go over a part that was a separate service...He then reprimanded me by saying, He's not sure why thats been happening, but if i anted neck, id have to pay for it. I told him that wasn't a problem...but it was clear that he was on her side. I left this spa crying and couldn't believe that I'd paid my money to be treated this way...Unbelievable!

Will never wax my legs in this place again. Terrible service

They changed management who changed their prices without telling anyone. Even if you booked a treatment at an old price they're not honoring it. Easy solution I will now go to my dermo and plastic surgeon who has stronger machines that work faster (and now) for the same price

Laser treatment far less effective than in other places, and customer service completely unresponsive.
