SizzlefishReviews of sizzlefish.com

I paid $119 for 4/6 oz of salmon to ship from Seattle to Chicago, which was a huge mistake. I have bought four times as much salmon at Costco. My cousin was shocked when he received the order for the amount I paid.

This is my first order with Sizzlefish and I received my package today. I ordered the soft shell crabs and first off have to say that I was impressed with the packaging. My 9 packages of vacuum sealed bags contained 2 crabs each, 18 crabs in total and they were packaged in dry ice in a Styrofoam box inside a cardboard box. I defrosted two of them for supper and not only were they nicely cleaned, they were delicious. The price was amazing and I'll certainly be ordering from them again. I highly recommend this company.

Well packaged.

Always great. Always arrives frozen and in perfect condition unlike lots of other companies. Quality is top notch along with exceptional customer service. Certainly by far my favorite seafood provider.

I placed my order Tuesday morning at 8 AM MST and received confirmation, expecting it to ship the same day. However, I received no shipping notification or update. When I called the following day, customer service was friendly but told me they had simply been “busy Tuesday.” Later, after following up again, I was finally told that the item was actually out of stock and my order would not ship for another week. Will arrive when I'm out of town.... Being out of stock can happen, but the lack of communication is unacceptable—especially for a company selling frozen seafood and advertising prompt shipping. I should have been notified immediately that the product was unavailable instead of having to contact the company multiple times to find out what was going on. At this point, I can't comment on the quality of the fish because I still haven't received it. My issue is entirely with the inventory management, shipping expectations, and lack of proactive communication.

I was very disappointed in the size of the softshell crabs as the 18 I received none were the size as indicated on the website. My daughter is a sous chef with Loews Hotel Group and she took one to work to verify my thoughts. She did confirm they were not restaurant size or quality like was stated on the website. I started to prepare four of the crabs and after thawing the completely broke apart as I tried to bread them. I was concerned about frying so I baked them in the oven instead. They lacked the texture and taste that I have enjoyed in the past and some of the ocean salt that enhances the flavor was missing. I am thinking of returning the rest of the order unless I can come up with another way to prepare them.

Very well packed seafood. Fresh seafood. Reasonable prices. Second purchase.

My purchase has been at UPS facility since 08/26/26. Nobody reached out has taken days to get help from anyone.
