I am sorry that you had to pay this fee. Unfortunately, there is no way to predict what customers will be charged. To inform our buyers of the potential fees we have this wording on every listing and in our FAQs: International Fees and Duties If you are an international buyer, expect to pay some amount of fees and duties. From our experience as a retailer, we have seen these charges as low as $83 Canadian, in the case of Canada, and as high as $120 USD for buyers from Asia and some European countries. These charges can vary a great deal between nations and territories. We are not customs experts, so we do not know, nor can predict, what customs taxes or dues will be added to a shipment. It is the responsibility of the buyer to cover these charges. If a buyer changes his or her mind and decides to return an order due to customs fees, we will issue a full refund except for the shipping charges incurred. The buyer can get a rough idea of the customs fees on the web site https://www.simplyduty.com. Please use HS code 9019.20.0000.
