Simply MovingReviews of simplymovingny.com

The guys were efficient and knowledgeable. The also follow instructions. I was downsizing within the same building. I asked them to move the bedroom first and then move the rest if the stuff. They moved it quickly and well. One minor scratch, but by and large everything was fine well.

Negatives: the movers went to the wrong location, Canal Street in Manhattan instead of Canal Place in the Bronx (even though the address was correct on the order). This delayed start time by 2 hours, and I wasn't able to get an ETA while waiting. Positives: when they showed up, the crew, and particularly the crew lead Shanell (sp.?) were efficient, careful, and courteous. The move was finished in good time and nothing appears to be damaged. I would use again, but Simply Moving should consider implementing double-checks on address as part of dispatching.

The movers were very nice and a little early. Worked very well with my new super which won me points as a new tenant. I thank them for that. However, they really rushed through the job (I think they actually had something to do afterwards) so the whole thing felt a little frantic which is not really great while you're moving. It took me a while to trust that my stuff was going to make it through okay because it looked like things were just flying around. In the end, the important stuff all made it through so my only complaint was that the boxes weren't clearly labeled so it took me a lot of extra time to unpack because I didn't really know what was in each box. Again an extra 15 minutes to work with me to label things something more involved than "living room misc." would have done a lot. I'd recommend this to friends but in the future hope that they are able to spend just a little more time with each client so that clients can see their items being shown a little more care. Moving day is stressful enough!

We hired Simply Moving for a 1br move. They had a 2 hour minimum policy. While the team was great- moved everything quickly and safely, were nice and friendly despite the horrible heat, it would have been much cheaper for us to just pay somebody by the hour (it took much less then 2 hours).

I recently moved from my house of 18 years to a nearby apartment. Simply Moving helped expedite the process and make suggestions along the way that made it a smooth process.

It didn't start out very well. The guys called and said they were 20 minutes away ( after being an hour late already). 45 minutes later I called them and they said that they were stuck in traffic. Finally they showed up more than 2 hours late. I showed the guys what items had to be packed and on the very first item ( a large armoire) the doors swing open while it was being moved a a chunk of wood came off it and the door it was going through was damaged. He got his glue gun, fixed it cosmetically, apologized profusely and proceeded to fill the pod. After the initial bumps, they worked smoothly and carefully and quickly. The other large and delicate items were packed very well and the "Tetris-like" filling of the pod went smoothly and satisfactorily. They handled my stuff with care and I would recommend them for my next move. Everyone is human and stuff hapoens

I had a good experience: the estimate was fair and the cost came in as it was quoted; the movers were early and finished the job quickly without any drama; and the movers were cute to boot! The only way my experience could have been better is if the company called me a day or 2 in advance to confirm the move. Because they hadn't, I thought I was off their radar. But otherwise, really great service. Not only will I recommend them, I will re-use them!

Smooth operation with courteous staff. Some minor issues (broken lampshade, marred wall, scheduling delay) that were all remedied or compensated for quickly and appropriately. I would recommend them to anyone.
