I found the item bought to be not representative of that as advertised. The size (i.e. width) indicated online was much larger than the frame I eventually received. Have owned a similar pair of glasses ( a replica in fact) I am in a perfect position to compare both.

Sent one pair back to a warehouse address in Secaucus, NJ. Never heard anything and no one at the company will admit they had a really bad return process which they have since changed. Still waiting for my $109.

Although the customer service is very good the end product has been very poor. I am now on my 3rd pair of glasses. The 1st pair that was sent had very scratched lenses (approximately 20 scratches in total around the edge of the lens). The second pair that was sent to me were in a similar state and the frames were also scratched, I presume from all of the handling required in adding lenses and then removing them. I returned this pair asking for a new frame along with new lenses. Sadly when the frames were sent back they were clearly the same pair. Although they are cheaper it is worth paying the extra and going to a high street opticians. You not only get a better quality product but you also save yourself 2 months of hassle.

While they are friendly and polite to talk to they really don’t have their act together. I ordered a pair of Wiley X glasses through their website and was emailed a day later that they the lenses I specified were not compatible with the Wiley X frame so I had to be downgraded into another lens. A week later I was informed that I couldn’t get a clear Transitions progressive lens at all and would have to choose another frame! I emailed them asking what frames would work. After several days I got a return email apologizing for the delay in getting back to me because they were “busy” and that they’d have to check what frames they have available. They never followed up with any information. I had a weekend motorcycle trip for two weeks later so I was getting worried that I wouldn’t have appropriate eyewear. I then called them to see if my existing frame could be used since they didn’t provide me any options. They indicated that they could so I shipped them my frames expedited at my expense. I followed up several days later to check on the status of my order and to remind them of my trip. So what was the end result? They had my frames for over a week, shipped them on Friday for Saturday delivery and USPS ended up losing the shipment so I didn’t receive them until Monday. My weekend trip had to be cancelled. So many thing went wrong but here’s the summary. First and foremost, their website should never have been allowed me to order a frame/lens combination that they knew couldn’t be made. Then it took them a week to inform me. They promised to give me alternatives but did not do so. Once they received my frames it took over a week for them to finish the order. While it’s not their fault that USPS lost the shipment they should never have put me in that position given the trip they knew I had planned. Even if things had gone as planned I would have had to leave half a day late for my trip. Instead I didn’t get to go at all. The reply I got from Simply Eyeglasses? “We’re sorry. We’re a small family owned company and really take customer service to heart”. Their website gives the appearance of a professional, solid company. Clearly they are not. They sell a product they can’t produce. Even though I tried to work with them despite numerous lapses on their part they still ended up dropping the ball. If this is their idea of good customer service then everyone needs to be warned about the kind of company they are. Buyer beware!

I ordered a pair of glasses the beginning of December and paid the extra $30.00 to have them shipped within 5 business days. They didn't show up after 5 business days so I checked the tracking and they were in Switzerland! I inquired about them and they said they got loaded on the wrong plane so they were going to send me a replacement pair. After just about a month, they emailed me and said the glasses were on back order for another month. I decided to be patient and wait. After another month goes by, I inquire again and the glasses were on back order again. By this time I was fed up and told them to cancel my order. I then get an email the next day that they found my first pair of glasses and are sending them. I finally received the first pair I ordered THREE MONTHS LATER and they wouldn't even reimburse me the $30.00 I paid for the expedited shipping! What an awful company.

The first time I ordered from Simply eyeglasses it took four months and five attempts for them to get me a pair of working glasses. I hung in there through 4 pairs of their high end Kodaks before they ordered Seiko lenses made outside their lab. The Seiko’s worked perfectly. I was really happy that they had supplied me with great glasses, even though it had taken a lot of effort. I was pleased with the final result. A few years later I ordered a new pair of the Seiko lenses I liked so much. Three weeks later they finally arrived, and the lenses were tilted at different angles because they had been so badly mounted to the frames. The lenses were set too wide apart, and there were no laser etched markings on the lenses to indicate they were made by Seiko, or that the lens material was the more expensive Trivex. Basically, I received badly assembled “no-name” lens eyeglasses that I could not use. I returned them, and Simply Eyeglasses then refused to do anything to help me further. They would not give me a coherent answer why. It appeared suspicious to me, and felt like they were blowing me off after my discovery that the lenses were not branded as Seiko lenses! Four weeks of waiting and nothing to show for it. Spend your money somewhere else. I should have learned my lesson the first time.
